Oh - your kitty picture on your profile pic looks like the twin of my cat called Beauduoin (who I called FatCat - since he had diabetes later in life). He did slim down once I got him on proper food / insulin and he lived for many more years with me!
Have you progressed any further with figuring out which insulin pump you're going to be going onto? The nice thing in the USA - you have so many more options to chose from then we nonAmericans have - so chose the one that fits you best!!! I'm like Marie B for years of diabetes - but only starting to pump 3 years ago - and am loving it!
