HI Lots- Glad you are feeling better. Thanks for the beautiful butterfly you sent. I guess I wasn't the only one who didn't know you were in the Hosp. Stay away from those places, they are only for sick people. LOL !! I guess Suri will enjoy having you home to walk her more. Our trip isn't until July 11. I have to work on my exercises and practice walking more so I will be able to walk better when I am there. When do you start PT ? What will you be working on ? Hope you have a nice holiday weekend, as a veteran it is a special time for you. Cat

Morning lots ♥
I'm staying home today. I woke up with the start of a migraine headache, mostly due to the humidity...but I'm sure the stress of the report cards has a role to play there! Though it gets loud here with the little ones, at least we have AC....and a bed! With my classroom like an oven at times, I would end up feeling like the bottom of the birdcage! The kids and theirs are still here, but not for much longer. Our son Timothy and his wife are interested in a quaint house not too far from ours, and our daughter Danielle, after much searching, has filled an application for a lovely apartment in a quiet area, a stone throw from the main library, the theatre, the art gallery and the library. So you see, we may be back to our boring quiet lives shortly.
So sorry you've had such a rough go of it. In order to end up in the hospital, you must have been blind sided :(
Please take advantage of this time off to relax and recuperate. I hope the tests including the MRI will shed light on the problem....and soon.
Godspeed dear lots....please keep us posted. In this family, we care for our kin ♥
luv....linda

Hi Lots, Hope your feeling better. I guess you're getting the rain down in VA too. Hoping it's nice tomorrow so I can plant while the ground is soft. Happy to hear you are losing weight although there are always ups & downs to it all. Stay well. Joanne

Hey kiddo....my favourite lots :)
You were in the hospital?? What's going on? I was off for a while....my computer down with a virus.
It's getting very hot here! Was SWELTERING today in my chassroom. No AC in mine! By the time the day is done you end up with a headache and care barely talk!
Please touch base and let me know how you're doing....I hope and pray you'll feel better soon ♥

Hi Lots. Have a good Memorial Day Weekend. We're having summer here, going up to 94 degrees, with a thunderstorm now and again. Well, so Happy Summer to you and yours!

Hi Lots- When were you in the hospital? Any news from the neuro. about what could be the matter with you ? We just had the worst thunder storm for the past 1 1/2 hours. Gotta go clean up from not getting to the windows fast enough to close them before everything got soaked. My cat, Zorro, is still hiding under a bed from the noise. Maggie is fine. Girls are heartier and less afraid of the storm. Hope you are feeling better. My stomach is fine again. Take care. Cat

Hi Lots. I love Gordon Lightfoot. A few years ago I knew a woman who said her boyfriend at the time was scheduled to go out on the Edmund Fitzgerald, but he got a flat tire and the ship left without him. Each time she told the story, however, some of the details changed. It is a haunting, fascinating song.
Hope you are doing better. Nice that Jesse could come to help you.
What kind of phone did you get? I took that new landline back to Targ and got another one. They take anything back, which is one reason I shop there. I am thinking of giving up the landline cuz I never use it and the bill is close to $50 per month. Give me a break.
The laptop that my sister gave me works pretty good. I have a wireless router that is a little iffy, but I like taking it into the living room. The computer plug in is in the bedroom.
My kidney doc said I could take Clariten, but it does not seem to help. Plus it is expensive. I wake in the morning and my eyes are just streaming. I suspect that I also have a bad allergy to dust mites. Phooey.

I always fuss and fret re what music to play, but this time chose one of my favorite snappy songs.
I sent you a friend request on Facebook and think you have to ok it. I have been a member for about 3 months and just love it. So handy to post just a couple lines. And sweet Doris finds the most inspirational quotes. I found 3 relatives, several high school classmates, and an old neighbor. Gotta love it. Well, and one old boyfriend who the years have not been kind to.
Take care of yourself, my friend. You are a dear and special lady.

Ya know, when I didn't hear from you for a couple weeks, I kept telling myself "she's busy being important at her new promotion . . she's waiting for you to 'get back . . she's enjoying the gorgeous Virginnie weather and hasn't had time to type".... I KNEW I shoulda checked up on you! I'm mad at myself for trusting in providence and should know better! I'm not a very good friend to you and feel pretty awful about that. I'm truly glad you have people like catlover and Doris to be there for you.
As for PD, or lack of same - YAY! if you're sure that's out. And if you've been on those antipsychotic drugs for awhile, then I guess the tardive diskinesia is sorta inevitable too. I've been that route, my friend, and know of the shakes and 'restless everything' syndrome. I still take some Cogentin now and then when I get leftovers from my errant past. It actually still works for most of the EPS crap.
But you were in the hospital??? for a week??? and I didn't even KNOW??? Shame on me. I hope to be closer to my tuD friends for at least another 8 months again before the next onslaught, but I've been over this job a lot lately and don't figure I can retire from it yet. I can cut back and have already started that, ditching a few really PITA clients and refusing new ones. Took my sign down from the window and will not be advertising (never did much!). Hopefully that way, I can whittle my business down 'naturally' as people die off, move away and generally live their lives out. I lose about 10 - 20 clients a year that way and if I don't replace them, my business should eventually become much more manageable.
EERregardless, I have made more changes to my own methods here which should cut down on the massive amounts of printing and paperwork I handle each year and yes, I will have to give up that volunteer clinic this time too. It's just waaay too busy and frantic and exhausting to spend one day a week doing freebies when I've got paying customers here waiting forever, and family and kitties missing me too. I hope to get back to it (the volunteer program - if it still exists! as their budget gets trimmed more every year) when my own office trims down a bunch but not now.
My family and friends need me more and I miss them way too much to forfeit 3 months of my life each spring. And now that summer comes so dang early, I don't even get May and June anymore to finish up some outside activities before the heat settles in and I'm locked inside for 3 more months!
The EPA (Escape Plan A) house is an awesome holiday for me or it will be when we get some more work done and some furniture but I also plan to get internet coverage there so I can ENJOY the net for a change and not just use it for reference purposes like I do now. We won't have phone service out there, so just my cell phone won't be toooo bad for being bothersome, but if it does... I'll leaver it home! Dave's phone is still pretty anonymous if we have any emergencies.
So I'm really trying hard ... (and I'm also really trying!) to get my life back and even have some life during March and April next year and if all this preparation works, I should get a couple days off every week - EVEN in tax time! That would be awesome and a huge difference from working almost straight through the two months on 2-3 hours sleep a day. Hopefully my tuD friends will still be friends that long!

Dave has his "stress test" this morning. What a stupid name for a test that they're trying to get older stubborn macho men to attend!! Why they don't call it "pleasant walk in the country" or a "spa day" or something at least remotely attractive and not STRESSful! Modern medicine - so full of miracles and morons.

Truly hope you are starting to feel better now. Might be nice just to ditch that stuffy nose for awhile! And your food will taste better. When I had TD I used to practise first aid at junior C hockey games and they would see me shaking as I was bandaging them up. I just kept t

lots, the quilt show was great, not sure if attendance was down from 2010, it was a beautiful weekend, and perhaps some didn't come. but the dedicated quilters had been planning to come for months. there's no doubt our raffle quilt brought in more money than usual. it was perfectly beautiful, unfortunately a guild member did not win it. no one has said who sold the winning ticket, someone in Harriman NY. I was in charge of coordinating the demonstrations, new this year, they were well attended. here's the quilt I demo'd

I've tried a couple times to comment on your new picture - that slim trim gorgeous you out on your balcony. Wow! Like Billy Crystal said - "you look marvellous!" The computer kept giving me errors and booting me off tuD. I hope it's my machine and not that awesome photo!

Enough of the frivolities, what am I reading here about the possibility of your having PD?? I'm assuming that doesn't stand for Police Department or Past Due, but what makes you think you might have Parkinsons" Like catlover says, it's not an easy disease to diagnose and my friend was treated for a couple YEARS before she finally ditched that diagnosis for something much more curable.
Also on the plus side is a well-known Canuck named Michael J. Fox. Since he added his name to the roster of people with drain bisorders, the world has really lept on his bandwagon and research is moved forward incredibly. I'm certain that "they" are very close to managing PD much more effectively now and have heard great stories of curative surgeries and effective meds. But let's not jump the gun here. I can't find your description of your symptoms and my typing is really slow now with just one working hand. The other hand is improving daily though, so it's only a matter of time before I'm back to my lightning keyboarding.
We have a holiday weekend here too - not Memorial Day but Victoria Day after Queen Victoria - the longest reigning queen of England - until Queen E II came along. She's catching up to ole Queen Vic!
Anyway, the reference to PD - Punky's Dilemma? got to me and I'm hoping you're around somewhere and can reply. What about the time off I heard about? Party Days? Poached Duck? Pretty 'Dorable? Professional Development? Precision Drilling? People w Diabetes? Poly Dent? Pre Destined? Pay Day!! That's it - I'll stick with PAY DAY! beats Perio Dontist!
Hope to see you soon.
