Hi Lots- How is your toe ? Did you see a podiatrist ? Glad we heard from Kathy, her message is on Reed's page. Are you finished getting ready for Christmas ? It is very dreary and cold here, how about down your way ? What is Zen getting for Christmas ? Think I'll go have some lunch. Take care. Cat
Timothy (26) was in the hospital on Wednesday to repair the puncture wound in his lung made when they re-inflated his lung following the pneumothorax of October 10th. He is home earlier than anticipated, so that means his place of work will not pay him for the time off while in the hosp. and recuperating. Apparently they cover the time frame if you're in the hospital for a minimum of 2 days!! So, he's on pain meds...and feeling very edgy due to not smoking. I'm urging him to talk to the doc re the patch or something to take him over the hump. As for myself...I'm done with school now, for Christmas Break. Will be back in the thick of it on January 7th. BUT...that is THEN!! For now...I am HOME SWEET HOME! First on the list tomorrow after sleeping in till 9 (and after coffee of course)....the Christmas cards!! Then...getting a new element for my oven. No element = no turkey!! Gifts....gotta buy 4 more...and wrap them.
Must finish decorating the tree. The kids are coming here on Christmas eve....everyone bringing something.
Hugs...linda
Hi Lots. I'm still enjoying your sparkly Christmas tree page. I read that you're having problems with a toe; hope it is healing and that you're feeling well. Best wishes for you, your family and Zen for a Merry Christmas.
Hello Ellen. Kathy's hospital address is om Pauly's page. The house is decorated. He did the rest while I was at TOPS. Looks good .Our tinsel must be 25 years old. We save it from year to year. No more TOPS until Jan. Tom comes tomorrow night and stays through the New Year. PTL Russ had a good day. The flap they are going to use is there hairy. He has to intp a store as he wants to pick out ties for Tom. Now the house is done,Russ turns to wrapping. No one would want anything I wrapped. How are things with you? How is the toe? I hope all is well. My knees are good. Take care. HUGS,Reed
Hi Ellen. A few rough days BUT we all have them. Russ was in tough shape really in a deep depression. All over the nose. Now that he has seen the skin flap and it is all hairy he is hoping the surgeon shaves it before using it LOL. He is better today. Getting me up to talk at 3AM was draining. Tonight he has no bandages no bleeding so I hope he sleeps. I wish someone would get the facts on Kathy. I hope her kidneys did not flare up. How are things with you? I hope well. How is the toe? You decorated? We are almost done. Hope this finds you well and happy. HUGS,Reed

Hi Ellen, saw on Reed's page about your toe, and so sorry. My husband brokenpole had something simular, but it turned out to be gout and made his whole leg hurt. Being diabetic and kidneys not the best, fluid that built up and wouldn't drain out in his lower legs led to it. Gout feels a whole lot like an infection, but even more painfull. Its scarey for diabetics when stuff happens to the toes and feet, and its good that you are going to see the dr, just was wondering if it could be gout and not an infection. Hope it gets better!
HI Lots- I haven't been on too regularly this week. My stomach was bothering me. I am glad we know where Kathy is even if it is in the hosp. I hope she recovers quickly, she is such a sweet person. I am feeling a little depressed this weekend over the tragic shootings in CT. My g-son is 7years old and in 1st grade. Innocent little children are now angels in heaven, way before their time. So sad. I hope you are doing OK. You should see a podiatrist about your toe, if it is infected it needs special care. I hope you have a great week, greeting your co-worker who is coming back from the East. Take care of yourself and give Zen a hug from my kitties. Cat
Hey there Ellen! Just stopping by to say....I LOVE YOUR PAGE!! How's it all going in your corner? Soon, on the 21st, I'll be on Christmas Vacation!!! Can hardly wait!! If you pop in on Reed's page....there's a comment(long) that pretty well explains what I'm up to :)
Hope you are well....much luv,
linda
Dear Ellen. I am worried sick over Kathy. She always writes me sends cards and I have not heard in 5 or 6 days. I hope she did not relapse. This is so unlike her. They got 15 inches of SNOW. Raining here.I wish they would change FEATURED MEMBERS been there a month. More later. If I have Kathy's number I will call her. HUGS,Reed
oh Lots, thanks so much for the kind words (and the pm). my husband doesn't want us to take much of the furniture and stuff. we have family pieces, some of which are over 200 years old, and also my dad was a master cabinet maker (as a hobby) and made beautiful colonial reproductions. I feel strongly they should remain in the family, so since I have no kids, my sister and brother will take them. I did take a love seat, it's so nice, my husband had been bugging me to replace ours which is totally broken. I also want the sewing cabinet, it's a cute lil thing, mahoghany with inlay. anyway, its an awful job, takes it right out of you. I'm still coughing (cant believe it) and I went to the endo today and he said good job. I'm so glad you got your job back. ed just turned 60 so there's little hope, but we are holding on. whenever they interview him, they always want to know when he graduated from college and that's when the door suddenly shuts. My mom's place is at Bailey's Crossroads in Falls Church. we used to live just off 236 in Annandale when we first got married. lol.
Hi Lots. Thanks for the comments and lovely video. I enjoy the Christmas season, but I do get nostalgic now and again. In that mood, I like to watch and listen to the video.
So Suri ate your Thanksgiving's day turkey -- uh oh. I expect Zen will be a little more delicate about the situation should the chance arise. Think of the fun trouble the two could have if/when you get another dog!
Last weekend we went to a dog club Christmas party where turkey and pumpkin pie were served, and there was an auction for dog/holiday items. It was all very seasonal, and we came home with some dog books; never can get too many of them.
We're having cold rains and grey skies right now. The poor dogs are really, really bored! It sounds as if your mom was a really good sport about the chemotherapy time; so is Hardy. He hates feeling tired, but is always cheerful. We're looking forward to June in lots of ways!
I hope the weekend has been a good combination of rest and fun for you. Cheers! Trudy
Hi Ms Lots. Your page is a wow! I am doing fine. It is snowing here today and feels like winter. I just got up from a knap. How is the kitty doing? I bet you still think about Suri though too? Them darn doggies they are like people for sure.
Hi Ellen- Your page is so pretty !!! You are really being tested for everything. I had a nerve conduction test a few years ago, and I didn't particularly like it. I hope it turns out well for you. My BG #'s are better then they were. Jim is taking a large dose of coumadin (14 mg.) It seems he has a genetic mutation that doesn't allow him to use the coumadin properly and he needs a larger dose. I am not used to him being the one with the medical problems, it is usually me. Between D and PD and a few other small problems I am the one who is medically challenged. I hope you have a nice weekend. Hope you cleared up your desk. Cat
IS it Friday yet? Yes. Russ could not sleep and neither could I we both got up. Tom is usually here but his cat not well. They have spent over $2000 now. Right now they have a bag of medicine and a needle they have to shhot him 3 times a week. They thought he might need dialysis. O love animals but doubt I would spent that amountof money. Nerve conduction tests not too bad but sometimes he has to press a certain way and that hurts, I have had every test he offers, Russ's face is a mess he is red I thik due to blood thinner. The blood is all caked in the bandages bear the nose. Friday at 2 he goes to get stitches out. Saturday Holy Day of Obligation and we go again Sunday. I hope things are better with you. We are supposed to go to Gainesville for a few days but might change our mind. Your oage is very festive...love it. Take good care. I care. HUUGS,Reed
