I just wanted to stop by to see if you've done your Big Blue Test Today. Dont' forget that every time you log a Big Blue Test $5 is donated to diabetes charities that are providing life-saving supplies and services.
Hello! Thank you for having me as a friend! What area of medicine are you in? India....so far away, but it feels like you're right here! That's one of the appealing factors of tu.diabetes. I'm in Canada...in the southwestern part of the province of Ontario...a city named Kitchener-Waterloo (2 cities joined together). I'm a wife of 33 years (hubby is also diabetic), mom to two grown children (one 28, the other 26), a grandma to 3 lovable little boys, a teacher, and before that an illustrator (still do some) and graphic designer....I speak French fluently, I read, history fascinates me, I paint, sing, walk, garden, ski, ride my bike....did I mention "read"? I love having friends over, I bake/cook up a storm, am an eclectic music lover, an animal lover...the ocean...ah the ocean...it speaks to me! Oh...and I have diabetes (and a few other things).
Nice to have you as a friend!!! Tell me a bit about yourself! hugs....linda PS...the above pic. has no connection with friendship (save for the obvious affection between rodent and vegetable)...but I thought you might find it to be a rather cute connection to your discussion "Eating Out With Diabetes" ;)
We're so happy that you're finally here! Welcome home!!! This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups".
Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and

My last done in May was 6.8 well before the pump, and next test sked. on Sept. 9 for labs..
My GP wears a 723 Medtronics, and is also a pilot, so we do talk about other things than just my medical problems. He was very helpful in getting me on the "pump". My Nephrologist, a very young Indian Doctor, with a great "bedside" manner is encouraging me towards better BG control also! I think I have a very good team of Doctors and Educators. The rest is up to me.
Dr. Sunayana, 71 years old, and d for about 20 years. Just started pumping 3 weeks ago, and am finally getting it together. Have read the books and seen the light. Still cry at sad movies, however!
