Happy Birthday Colette! yes the quilt this year is just incredible. we had the best hand applique-ers doing the blocks which were designed by a former biology teacher and artist. the quilting is the best I've ever seen, you could just look at the back of it and be mesmerized for hours. I hope someone who appreciates it wins it too!.
hi Colette, Happy New Year! I just stepped down as President of my guild, 2 years was long enough. That picture of the beautiful large applique quilt on my page is our raffle quilt this year, we just had it appraised professionally and it's worth $3000! Wish I could go to all the shows, Ireland certainly has a long tradition of quilting, and I'm sure there are many innovative quilts being made there today.
Hi Colette, hope you are well and those BG's are behaving! I've just taken delivery of a demo Accu Chek Combo pump (have to give it back tho on Monday!). It seems easy to use, but can I ask what, if any drawbacks you've encountered since you've started using the pump? I think it's great, and like the fact that it can be hidden under clothing all day. Like you I've cannot detect hypos easily and looking forward to having one of these devices. They still need calibrating with at least two needlesticks each day, but we do that anyway. Pleased to hear your Combo is working well for you and congrats on the great HbAC1
Hi Colette, many thanks for your email. I'm due to meet the Roche rep on Friday and he will show me the Combo, which I am really looking forward to. The Animas rep told me yesterday that the new CGM version should be available in Ireland next year, and that if I go on the 2020 now, it's just a case of upgrading (plus a small fee, no doubt!). Anyway, I appreciate your views on the Combo and can't wait to get started! best wishes, jason

Ill definitely have a look for the belt, Im also trying to order a remote control for the mini med, that is one of the features I was most interested in.
I would love to go to the meeting but Im working late tomorrow night so wont make it in time. I would be interested in any other meeting or talks that are on though.
I cant believe I will be getting my pump in a weeks time!!
Thanks Colette, I went for the minimed, I really reallly want to use the real time sensors, as my problems are during exercise (long distance running and also horse riding) and Im always high in the morning.
Do you mind me asking were you keep it, ie in your pocket, or do you have a holder for it?
