Dearest Danny---Mom passed 3/20. My brother and I were with her and it was beautiful--a seamless passing, so peaceful. I am still here in MN doing the pragmatic work of closing out her home. leaving 4/15 via Amtrak for home in Portland. Can't think yet beyond a day or two. Emotionally limited for awhile, I think! But it means a lot to me that I am in your thoughts!.....Fondly.....Judith.....
hi Danny, no Metformin for me - I'm type1, so I'm not sure what it would do. I don't really take that much insulin - all in the pump (Humalog) and my TDD (total daily dose) averages about 18-20 units.

]Yes even a bit of depression will do it to ya....I know, been there. I am glad that you are back in the saddle. I have had to start over many times myself. Please take care and know that you have many friends here and I sure do look forward to knowing you. Be well and keep in mind that us diabetics are some pretty awesome people. HA! Have a good weekend and ever since you said the word Pizza, well, I have to have some now. I best get ready to shoot up often!! Oh well, it is worth it. Robyn xo
hi Danny, glad to see you're getting back on the horse. I can't tell you how many times I've fallen and then somehow found the strength to carry on - with a lot of help from some here such as Robyn, Judith, Kristin, and all the others. It's such a comfort.
Danny, of course you're still on the welcoming committee (it's now called "The Care Team") and believe me, we can use all the help we can get with welcoming new members! All you have to do is click on "Members" on the top banner, and the members are listed in the order they joined. I subscribe to the feed for discussions so I won't miss anything.

Dear Danny---It's my Mom with the kidney failure. But I'm here in Minnesota, far from home, feeling a bit isolated, caring for her 24/7 with the help of a couple truly amazing hospice folks. Just a few weeks to go until she moves on---the hugs and kisses are needed and cherished, though. Thank you from the heart.....
