Greetings, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nadine.....
Best Wishes on your Special Day....and on the next 364 days!
How's it all going? Do you have any questions or comments?
Thank you Nadine...life is sure a handful now, but I wouldn't change it for the world! Zoe and I are doing very well, considering the lack of sleep, LOL!
Hi Nadine! how are you? I still have your charts, and I keep telling myself I will do it as soon as my last exam ends...that's Monday actually. How are things out west?
Hi Nadine. Yep, that's my blog. I'm glad that you enjoy my point of view. I often wonder if I anger more people than I entertain ;-) Either way, I write it more for me, so I don't censor anything.
Nadine ...thanks .... just to clarify : the Torch Run is still to come ; Jan 27 ...3 weeks from tomorrow ...I'll give an update ...could be on the Canadian site as well as the main site ...stay tuned. that's all I can say about that for now ;-)
I will do a bit of travel in BC with the CDA ; they have asked me to speak at the AGM's in spring , including Yves Provost the cyclist from Victoria . I had to cancel Van .as I will do the 1/2 M with Team D. in Calgary ...indeed more fabulous new adventures as you said !!
I pray my A1C better too as yours !! with the Dual wave ; due end Jan .
I've been in Montreal since I got married (22 years). Before that I lived in England and then immigrated to Ottawa. Even tho' I speak HORRIBLE french, I get by. Unfortunately, not in the kind of work I used to do, but I've moved onto other areas to make a $$$ and enjoying learning new skills. So, if you ever make it back here, and you aren't allergic to cats (have two) - you are more then welcome to stay here at "Chateau Guay" (my husbands last name).
Hey Nadine! Thanks for the yoga pump tips. I've been experiencing all kinds of different results depending on what time of day I take the class as well. I think I'm still a work in progress figuring it all out. With all my university homework, I don't really feel like doing diabetes homework too! Do you do any record keeping other than your meter?
Hey Nadine - whoo! whoo! Thanks for the friends ad - and even better - the reason for my "whoo! whoo!" - you have a green Animas too! Do you have a name for your pump? Mine is Salvador Dali. I wrote about him last month here.
Good to see that we have an optician on board here in Tuville. So far, touch wood, no serious complications for having D for so long. Tho' I go to my opthomologist every 6 months now. Discovered recently my Mum has glaucoma, it runs in her family (so does diabetes), so am crossing my fingers, with close monitoring, we can nip it in the bud.
BTW, have you met up with Nel Peach? She's in Salmon Arms. I met up with her back in October at the IDF World Diabetes Congress. She is AWESOME!!
Au revoir for now from the snowy Montreal!
Hi Nadine , Happy New Year from the Shuswap and I remembered , that I read on Danny's dual wave discussion your great last A1C result ...wonderful ;-)
All the best for 2010 .
Hi Nadine- HAPPY 2010! Thank you for adding me as a friend and thanks for reading Diabetesaliciousness!! How do you like your Animas 2020? I'm seriously considering switching to the Ping and would love to here your thoughts ;)
Happy new year to you too! It's fun to vent on this site with people who really understand :) Last night at Cheesecake Factory I told my husband I was "high" all day just as the waiter came to the table. The look on his face made my new year's eve. Then my teenager added "my mom is high all the time!" I am still laughing ....
Hi Nadine: Happy New Year! I think a good new year's resolution for me is to work on a few diabetes-related improvements and tweaks. Like pulling my CGM out of the drawer and calling Medtronic customer service and seeing if I can't get the dang thing to work better for me....Nice to have support of my diabetes friends in this process....Melitta
