Hey sweetie,Thanks for the comment :).That is bizarre that we were both sick around the same time. It's nice meeting people who understand how you feel.YES, look,we are both here AND so glad to meet you! :)
Hey Myriah. I am happy to say there has been a great improvement in things since i got my diabetic alert dog dutchess who is a complete blessing. This dog has given me back my freedom again. Always nice to have another friend from Texas.
My son doesn't party at all and doesn't have time to. He has 3 roommates about to drive him nuts in his apartment getting up at 3am for dinner and then party until 5:30am. He is so exhausted from all their antics and being behind in homework from being sick for a week. I just rented him an apartment at Cabana Beach if you know where those apartments are. Off of exit 202 and IH-35. It says luxury to a T and very specific about roommates. Should work out better. This is his fifth year so he is past the stupid stage! lol Take care of yourself.
Hey sweet girl. How is life treating you? I just came from 4 days in San Marcos. Got an apartment for my son in the fall. His was an advertising disaster. I toured to see the real deal. I think of you as I go by your way and wonder how you are. Do you work for Scott and White? That's my hospital in Temple. I also do standardized patient care there for the 2nd and 3rd year residents. So fun. How are things? You have the most intoxicating smile. J
Hi Myriah, My name is Connie and live in Fort Bend County (Sugar Land, Stafford, Rosenberg, Richmond). Been a Type 1 for a long time, since age 5. I was wanting to know where Dr. Susie Estes is located at. I'm in desperate need for a great Endocrinologist.
Congrats on the pump. I had to fight with my insurance for almost 6 months and I still have to absorb 1/2 the cost (I took out 2 credit cards, lol) any way I have been on my pink ping for a week and a half now. My numbers were low now high so we are still adjusting and all that! But I think that you will be happy :) Even though I am frustrated and want to have everything on track now I am still happy and I know sooner or later I will be balanced with my basals/ICF/ect, my set up and stuff are really thrown off by eating disorder issues so that is on me and I am assuming other people with more normal eating behaviors get their numbers set up easier and quicker! Good luck! I am sure you will do great!
You're totally gonna love it! I have to take a holiday from it and I'm totally am going to miss it so much! I don't think I can remember how to calculate a bolus or anything anymore! It's going to be really weird! Oh, by the way, I love the picture of your dog! It's so cute!
You're welcome! I thought about the Pod for awhile, but at the time when I was pump shopping I was using around 150 units in two days and it wasn't a good choice for me. I can leave the Ping's set in for three days without any problem and now, I've reduced my insulin down to around 60 units a day so then my refill/change times are the same which is awesome! I'm hoping to add the dexcom to my management soon, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that much information! Let me know if you have any questions about the Ping! Have a great night!
Hey Thanks for the advice on where to put my pod. I put it on the top of my rump a couple of days ago and it is really comfortable! My husband's getting used to it :)
Thank you, Sweetie for the nice message on my page. You have a beautiful smile and it is showing the kindness you have in your heart. Have a wonderful Holiday Season....enjoy.
Great photos, you have a wonderful smile! Thanks for the comment on my page, "Grateful" I am grateful, I almost died from DKA in '95 . So, I think I was very lucky to survive....I find peace being grateful and thankful for all the good I do have. It keeps me fighting this "D".
I hope all is well for you. Take care
