Just finished dinner very careful what I ate as I had injections #3 in my knees at 2PM and they do spike the BG. It is worth it,though,as the terrible pain in my knees is gone. I used to have 4 Pomeranians. When they passed an Airedale. Then a Great Dane and my last one a Kerry Blue Terrier named Stacey. They were such a part of the family so I know how Lots feels. My weight loss group meets in the morning I am way under goal. I am the Leader 6th year and I do the Program...the Mystery of Lbels. I hope all is well with you. Have a good evening,Reed
Hell Trudy. Just dropping in to say hello. It is still hot hetting dark so I expect the monsoon any minute. Real lazzy today. Later,I need to go to the drug store. BG 106 it will spike tomorrow as I get injections #3. They are heling. No pai9n in the knees. I should have knee replacements but nt at age 85. As you know me I type with one ARTHUR RIT IS finger so I hope yu will excuse my errors. Take good care. I care. HUGS,Reed
Hi Trudy, Thank you so much for your thoughts on Suri. I have had many dogs over the years, but never one that I have fell head over heels in love with. Suri was a part of me and everywhere I went she was with me. Being a rescue dog, she had a hard life. I know she has been hurt and abused and it took a while for her to adapt to her life with us but once she did it was with her whole heart. She was the most loving, gentle, kind and trusting dog I have ever met. It was an honor to have known her. I will miss her very much. Thank you for your kindness. Lots
Trudy, I am sorry to hear someone has left TUD. I have been jumped on a few times but I am quite strong and realize others often don't know what they have done. Miss K and I are well and we have a very active life together. Don
Hi Trudy, thanks for the kind words. Despite living almost my entire life in "fish country" (South Louisiana and Washington a few minutes from Puget Sound) I have never been fond of fish. I prefer to let others who enjoy it have my share. ;0) I do get some EFA's from avocado, almonds, walnuts, flax oil, pumpkin oil, etc. It will have to do.
Oh my Trudy, I am sorry to hear that you are suffering with poison ivy. I had poison oak once and it was awful. It must be really hard when it gets on your face and your eyes swell shut. That sounds painful. You are lucky that you have Hardy. Your dinner last night sounds wonderful. I am staying inside today too. I hope to get some cleaning done. It is way to hot this summer. I hate to wish my life away, but I will honestly be glad when fall arrives. Thanks again for the haiku, that is a neat story of how you started to write them.
Hi Trudy- I saw on Lots' page that you are suffering w/ poison Ivy. I know of a terrific remedy that my husband uses when he gets it. It is called Tecnu. You can get it OTC in any drug store. I have never had poison Ivy, but my husband gets it every year. You should check it out, it should help. Hope you don't think I am too noosey reading your comment on Lot's page. Hope you have a nice weekend. Cat =^..^=
Hi Trudy, How did your grilling turn out last night? I hope it was tasty. Thanks for the beautiful Haiku, that was really pretty. Suri and I are having a hard time with allegries this year. We are both on sick call this weekend. She had a bloody nose which scared us to death and made the bedroom look like a crime scene, what a mess! We took her to the vet. Now she is on antibiotics and benadryl and is better. It didn't seem to bother her. She has plenty of energy and is eating and drinking and going for walks, still it is worrisome. Me, I have a fever and a sinus infection, so it will be a quiet day. The two of us are spending it in bed. Too bad-it is a nice day out too. Oh well, there is always tomorrow! Have a happy weeekend.
Hi Trudy! We are so happy with our new dog. I must admit, I was a skeptic. How can our busy schedule handle a furry friend. Well, it has worked out wonderfully. Thanks for the comment.
Wow Trudy....sure thing is that silence is LOUD!! Can hear something as subtle as the hum from my new wall clock in the kitchen now...for a while, I couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from lol....but, I'm slowly coming to terms with it, and rather enjoying not being awaken at 7 am by little knocks on my bedroom door ;) We've been getting an awful LOT of rain here for the past couple of days...you? Hope you have a good night....and a SUPERB day tomorrow. Take care,
luv....linda
Good Evening Trudy....Well...the kids are all gone! Danielle moved out about a month ago, and Timothy and Steph spent their first whole day in their own house yesterday! The little ones came to their house (with their cats) this evening...they were spending the weekend with their other grandma. It's such a void here!!! I'm unfamiliar now to how utterly QUIET the house is!!! I keep the radio going...as the lack of constant sound is...well...deafening! The fridge is empty....gotta get some "stuffing"!! Funny thing happened yesterday. The neighbour told Len this morning that at around 11:30 last night some young people pulled up in our drive and headed up to the door with cases of beer!! We almost had a party lol. The neighbours redirected them to Timothy's place. Honestly...11:30! They undoubtedly were there 'till wee hours! Thank goodness it wasn't here! That's not for me anymore! My version of a party has GREATLY changed from my early 20s lol!! Funnier still....apparently the party folks and their beer never made it to Timothy's!!!!(Whew!!)
Our children's birthdays are coming up....Danielle will be 28 on the 31st of July....and Timothy's is the following day, Aug. 1st....he'll be 26! Feels like just yesterday I was pushing them in a stroller! Sigh!
How's it all going at your end? Hope all is well with you :)
Take care of yourself ♥
luv and hugs....linda
Hey there Trudy!!! Whatcha up to today? The kids here are packing like mad. They're moving out next Saturday...and get the keys Friday. The grandkids will be with the other grandma then. Our daughter has a new shift that entails her having to work some Sundays, and Stephen (her little guy) would then be babysat here by our daughter-in-law. However next Sunday, if that's the case... Stephen will be with her ex! Next Saturday will be a madhouse here!! On this coming Wednesday (the 18th), I'm helping out at a fundraiser with the Canadian Diabetes Association. It's an amazing day outside! Wishing YOU an awesome day :) Hugs....linda

Thanks Trudy! Not sure why because I haven't been on much lately, but I won't turn it down!
