Riva- Congrats on being a featured member. We thoroughly enjoyed your presentation last Friday. I could listen to you for hours tell stories of your Diabetic life. I hope you will come back for a reprise.
Riva, we were very much inspired by your talk with us on Friday. Afterwards, we were sharing some of your nuggets of wisdom and a member decided to write down a bunch and start this discussion http://www.tudiabetes.org/forum/topics/nuggets-of-wisdom
I must say, I attend most of these Friday afternoon live chats, and yours was one of the best attended. I think at one point there were 68 members signed on. thanks again, it really helps to share with another "old-timer"!
Hi Riva, I just read your blog "Now you see me, now you don't, diabetes". I couldn't find how to comment on your blog, so I thought I would comment here. The last paragraph of that blog was absolutely amazing and you found a way to put into words how I feel.
We try so hard to "control" our diabetes, but the longer we have this disease we begin to realize even with control there is no control.
Greetings, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Riva.....
Best Wishes on your Special Day....and on the next 364 days!
How's it all going? Do you have any questions or comments?
I'm clueless- it is disposable and "green." Which would either make it very reasonable, OR very expensive! Plus some insurance companies might consider it experimental and opt not to pay for it. We'll find out on Tuesday!
great, drop me a line at my regular e-mail dhariton@verizon.net with some dates. i am free wed, thurs and fri of next week if that works for you. week of aug 10th, i am around tues, wed and thurs. i read about the pump and it sounds incredible. omnipod is getting smaller too in 2010. are you pumping yet or still achieving great results with shots?
HI Riva- i will read your post but i must admit, i don't any time on the site so i may have to navigate a bit. i am doing well. using the CGMS now and like the tighter control. aiming for a 5.9 in a few months and still trying to build my own business. let me know if you're up for lunch soon as we're long overdue for catching up. hugs
Ahh I would love to, but Londons 3 hours away from me and theres no way of me getting there! Greatful for the offer though! Hope you have a great time in the capital =)
