Tah dah-h-h-h...I'm back! Did more snooping! First of all, I have to say CONGRATULATIONS!!
103 lbs...that's absolutely awesome! How did you do it?? Yes...the yeast infection is very much likely due to the increased BG...and yes, if you're not getting answers from your doc, get another if that's possible.
So here's more info...go to the top of your page and click on "Home". See the big green box in the upper left hand corner of the home page with the 11 categories? Three of those categories might be most helpful to you. "Control Your Diabetes", "Nutrition and Recipes", "New to Diabetes"...click on those. MUCH info there.

OK....I did a little searching. Here are some groups here at tudiabetes that might be of interest/help...
"Diabetes and Women"
"Raw Food Diabetics"
"Lean on Me"
"Carb Counting by Example"
"We want real food"
"Weight Watchers"
"How Often Do You Think About Diabetes"
"HbA1C over 7.5"
Hope this helps out a bit...let me know, and keep in touch,
luv...linda
Hmmm...11 to 14...what does your doc have to say?
Do you see a nutritionist or dietitian? A diabetes educator?
How are you doing at carb counting, and balancing portion?
There's a group or 2 here that focuses on nutrition...as well, why don't you join "Health Seekers" here...it might give you some guidelines.
How are you feeling...tired? What are your sugars like?
Keep in touch, OK...I'm a type 2 also. Feel free to visit my page any time.

It's been almost a year since your dx date....how's it all going?
Welcome home Kendy....
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups". Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided. Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
