I can definitely see how adding celiac in would add insult to injury. I would definitely have a hard time adjusting, at least with diabetes they can eat what they want within reason, now you really have to change things up, say no to certain things and spend more at the grocery store! in the end she will be healthier and maybe the rest of your family too, going gluten free is'in vogue' so to speak so hopefully the transition will not be horrible. hang in there this site has been very helpful in helping me deal with things. just being heard if helpful in and of itself! if you need to vent i'll listen! best wishes amy
i agree 100% with your recent post, the arguing got to me to, we come here for support only, i hope you are having a good week with your daughter, i've been feeling alittle blue about things lately, i guess i will put my "big girl pants on" and deal with it, i like that one, i also like that somehow, my son handles all this very well and is ussually less reactive than me thank god for kids, like you said they are the same great kids they were before diagnosis, maybe better, people with easy lifes dont appreciate what they have! hang in, amy

oh my, Stillwater is maybe 20 minutes from me. I'd love for them to get some of of our TuDiabetes 4x6 cards and brochures. These are free for the asking. I keep them in my purse at all times. I understand Nejeda has a brand new medical facility - did you hear about it? I think they got a big grant from the Helmsley Trust.
Lorraine's son won a contest (forget who put it on) and they met Nick. Which camp are you going to? There's one near here called Camp Nejeda. I wish my mom had let me go to diabetes camp.
her son Caleb is 8, and also was dx'd at 4. Lorraine's taken some marvelous videos of Caleb that I highly recommend. She recently posted one of their family's experiences last year at diabetes camp.
you're welcome. Don't worry, we are all helping each other here. If you want to make sure someone sees your comment, click on "comment back" just underneath their comment. Can you tell me who has diabetes?
Thanks for all the welcoming notes. Thanks Marie for the link I went and looked in and I think that I might like that page. I am not used to this so you will all have to help me out a little bit. I am not so computer savy but I am trying to learn. Thanks again and I look forward to talking to all of you.
