That's awesome that you're riding and got a new bike (early holiday gift?! :) ). I love spinning and am trying to get one of my run coaches (an ultra marathoner) to spin with me. He said he needs to wait 'cause he has a knee injury. Huh?? I think I'll use you as my example to get him to spin --- it's better on the knee than running, for sure! Hope you enjoy the holidays. I'm doing 2-3 four mile runs a week these days. Not bad, but not looking like I'll be doing a half or full anytime soon ;) We'll see. Take care!!
Hi. Loving the SpiBelt! Thanks for that tip. How are you doing? Any runs lately? I did a Turkey Trot 10k, and wish I'd signed up for Vegas half but I didn't get that together in time. Oh well. Some friends are running Vegas, others doing Santa Barbara this weekend. Lucky them!!! Hope you are well.
TCOYD was awesome. So different from last year, as far as recognizing familiar faces around the conference. Would have loved to see you there, but alas.
Manny and I had a blast for the short time he was here...we tore it up over at Rei Do Gado the night before. Says SD TCOYD was his favorite diabetes conference ever, can you blame him?...neither can I, gotta love San Diego ;)
Just wanted to say I enjoy your blog. Also I just got the omnipod, so trying my first time at pumping, think I will miss the MDI's that I have been doing for so many years? Hope not. Take care Alexis, and keep writing.
Thanks for touching base Alexis...glad to hear all is well with you! Here things are generally OK, but hey..."c'est la vie"!!! Hope you have a great week....that's MY plan anyway! Take care, and good night.....linda.
Hi! I just read on one of your posts about the SpiBelt, which I also just ordered!! I should have ordered it a while ago, but I'll have time to test it out before my half marathon. What a great find!! :) Hope you are doing well.
Have you done a marathon? Been think about training for one but not sure how to manage my BG for that amount of time/distance. I like your blog name. I had a page on another site called CrazyChemoRunner.
Happy Friday! Hope you had a good recovery week...
Lunch on Tues sounds great and I'll bring the book too :) I work right next to the Nobel entrance to the 805 so wherevers clever.
Have an awesome weekend and we'll touch base soon!
Glad to hear you finished! Way to go girl!...I fancy myself somewhat athletic but the idea of running even a quarter-marathon scares the manhood out of me.
As for me, I'm doing well...taking shots, cutting carbs, living the dream. Just trying to squeeze out the last few weeks of summer madness. When we gonna hang out already?

You are a very gifted and vivid writer. The last line gave me chills and I think I need a Kleenex.
