Yeah, Brian wrote me also and I told him to talk to you.
I was glad to hear from him and happy that he's working on THE numbers!

thanks Hilary - I have spoken with Animas and they are checking with the US and Canadian air safety authorities as to the effects on pumps, as these machines will be the only ones in probably less than a year from now - Canada is implementing immediately and we have 20 or 30 on order and veing delivered in the next months...one manufacturer uses only radio waves, so that would be good news....

good point! Regular body scanners yes, hand luggage xray no...I am actually going to test the system by showing them the pump and asking what they want to do...probably hand search but we will see! With the new systems coming in, which are MRI-type radiation, has anyone checked to see what the manufactureres recommendations are?? Canada will be installing about 30 of them across the country shortly.....the ones that actually 'see' your body

hi, Hilary, I saw your comment on Doris' page. Holger - here - has a neat program called Glucosurfer that you may want to check out. He's a really nice guy, and won our votes (incl mine) in 2009 for his Geek-y knowledge. I'm sure he would be glad to help you.

Welcome Hilary! I am new to the site also, and also use an Animas pump (One Touch Ping). My first road trip with it begins this week....my list has changed from 2 pens, 4 extra cartridges and plenty of tips to pump, insulin, infusion sets and a mindset to count carbs...
