Hi Marie-How are you doing ? I have been getting on at night for a little while the past few nights, trying to catch up with people. Been having a lot of lows, getting up every morning in the 50's and don't feel it. I'll have to try adjusting my overnite
dose of Lantus. Hope your BS have been good. Cat
Thanks! I'm in high school (class of 2011 woot). How long have you been diabetic? I've had the 'betes for 14 looong years. :P

Hey Marie, been doing family stuff today and just now got on the computer. I saw where you guys were twittering everyone. It all over the home page. I think I'm to new to twitter to try that
I know exactly what event you are talking about without even opening up the link. It would be a great NYC event to coordinate a meetup, don't you think? Hopefully there's a Chop't nearby!
Thanks Marie,I thought I had the post scheduled for later this morning. I didn't have the permalink for the post on Kerri's site until this morning, so I just now got it updated
Thanks for the welcome. The inclusion that I have been experiencing since joining just a couple of days ago is inspiring. I am looking forward to the resources, community, support and information. I am VERY THANKFUL for this site existing, I don't feel so alone any more.
So sorry about your father. My father passed away in 2002 after cancer. And I know that it's not easy to live without a father! And thank you for your support, one more time.

Yes, Houston has a lot going on...most of the time. It'll be five years that I've lived in Houston next month and I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Yes we are known for having extreme heat and humidity and yes we do have to deal with hurricane season but I will still take anyday over the rough winters that I know from youth (I'm from Detoit, MI). I don't personally know anyone else who has Type 1 diabetes and honestly since I am a private person, I've been okay with that but as I'm getting older I seem to be feeling the need to come out of my shell. I do lead a life that I know has tremendous purpose and gives hope to many for the future but I'm starting to feel that I can do more so I'm on my way to figuring out exactly how I will make that happen.
