Hi Marie - How is 2012 treating you so far ? Glad you got your pellet stove fixed, several of my neighbors have them. It was really cold yesterday, but not too bad today. That is very nice news about Donna being named to the DHF board. I am sure she will be an asset to that group. Are you doing any additional baking yet this year ? Ups !! Jim needs to use the computer, we only have 1. Looking forward to the telechat tomorrow !!!!
Marie, congratulations on becoming president of your quilting guild. Also I love the luggage tags. You probably know about this but just in case not I thought I would let you know. From June 7th - 10th there will be a quilting festival in Ireland which sounds great. The web site is www.iqfoi.com if you want to check it out. Colette
I'm babysitting again today. So Alls I know forsure is I'm about to get off now. No I didn't check my email this morning but Manny tried again to change it with no advil it done the samething again. I wish u a good day looks like I'll have the one where everybody is bouncing off the walls. 2 crying at one time not for the faint of heart that's forsure! LOL!
Good Morning,Marie. A little snappy here 35 degrees but the house is nice and warm. How are things going with the appliances they all back in working order? I am having my heating system checked next Tuesday. Usually just need a new filter. BG 137. I think cold better but still going to try to get in to see the doctor. Did you have a good night or was it another up and down. I hope things are better today and your readings good. I see Gary back but I do not know what he is talking about so I just pass over it. So delighted for Donna. She will be a great asset. My best to Ed. Tell him I am working the beads for him. you take care. HUGS, POPS
Donna & I were doing the pm thingy all morning and she pmed me about being a member of the board at DHF right after Manny put the annoucement up! I know she will be a great assicet to DHF! So glad for her. She also sent me the link from the blog so's I already commented on it. Honestly I didn't know all that that Manny put up about her. Oh I knew some of it but not all of it. I'm tickled pink that she's there with us now!
I bought the cheapest one that Hoover makes and it cost a hundred dollars. The bad thing about it is that you have to do one wash with the soap, refill with clear water and rinse, so you do it twice. I used to have one that cleaned and rinsed at the same time and that was nice, but it broke. This one does the job though just seems like more work. Ha ha, I found a good oven cleaner too, ha, ha, his name is Chris and he is what I call my better half, he cleans the oven! My bg is good today, woke up at 88 this morning.
For the carpet I have a Hoover Steam Vac. It was worth the investment because my carpets get cleaned a lot because of the dog. It has two compartments, one that you put the shampoo and one where the dirty water goes. I have to empty many times and the water is black. I am suprised how dirty carpets can get even when they don't look that bad. For the stain I got " Tech" Stain Remover and I have done the red spot several times. It seems like it is never going to come out but usually after working on it several times amazingly it does. For Christmas I got a little Shark Mini Vac, and that thing is aewsome, my new toy. It is a very stong little thing, great for tight places, cob webs, bathroom floors, curtains and under the bed. They make small steam vacs, hand held too. That might be good for a small cleanup like a spill. Gosh, I sound like I am writing a cleaning column in a newspaper, sheesh, I need a break, I am cleaning too much, ha, Lots.
Hi Marie, I had a funny talk with a friend. He was in a funk and so was I. We were cosntantly either worrying about something like work or the state of our health and stessed and we were both putting on wieght and gettting out of shape because our stress buster is computer, either surfing or Tu. He mentioned that he was having a hard time doing " mundane" things. I thought that word was really interesting, especially how it relates to the zen way of living, to do things in the moment and do them as if that task was the only task in the world. That made me think of a good New Year's resolution. I decided to do mundane things and make them special and also to clean out my spaces, make my life more open, so that conversation really has gotten me very inspired. Ask my dog, ha, she is next for the bath!
Good Morning,Marie. I do not feel good at all. I should not be going out. It is 30 degrees here. I have TOPS the Auction a bin full of stuff. If I continue to feel congested I will see the doctor tomorrow. Did I tell you Tom got it? His doctor has him on a Z or V pack. My BG 92. I hope you had a better might and slept through. I am concerned about you. Take good care of yourself today. My worry now...should be my health but,no,,,how am I going to get that big bin os stuff into the meeting room. My best to Ed. More later./ HUGS,Reed
Yes I clicked on it and saw that. Sorry I'm later but I've found that I can do more at night on the computter than I can during the day. Tomorrow it looks like I'm babysitting again. Oh well not ask but TOLD.
Thank You again Marie. I heard (from readinf Wendy's page Yep caught reading other's pages. Doug gets me all the time onthat one) That u were a little down today. Everything OK??? Wendy pmed me what she sent to u too. I really feel for her & expecially her girl. I read on her page uve never really been inDKA. I have quite a few times b/f I decided I didn't want to do it again (Or I decided I might better take care of myself as not to go there again) It's NOT fun at all. Went to the ER manytimes only to wind up in the hospital and the Dr & nurses telling me how dumb I was for doing that to myself. (Well not in those words but that was the hospital dr when MY dr came in he did tell me how DUMB I was. LOL but u know he was right> LOL)
Hi Hon, just checking in on you. I hope that you had a good Holiday and Happy New Year!! I am hanging in there....at times I feel so frustrated. Eye is taking so long to show any signs of clearing. Stir crazy.....and frustrated. I can only do so much with one eye and get very upset that I cant drive very far, or really do much without it straining my good eye. But....I need to stay strong and positive and fight. Love to you and take care. xo
Good Morning,Marie. The bed felt so good I stayed in it. BRRRR 30 degrees here in Florida. I am feeling better. A little pain in my back but I assume it is from all the coughing. BG 137 must be from the medicine. I am using RICOLA with Green Tea and Echinacea. I know today is Guild Day. Did you get a lot done? TOPS tomorrow AUCTION I have a bin of stuff the ladies will have to help me unload it. Was your reading good? Poor Kathy fell swollen ankle she has to be so careful. My best to Ed. Take good care of yourself. HUGS,POPS
So you slept through your New Year kiss? LOL. How long do you think the chutney would keep? I have my own variation dreamed up but won't tell you until I've tried it.
