Marie Mother's Day is really hard for me since my mom passed. Yes it's been like 9 years but it's still hard for me. I just get through the day. My kids never say "Happy Mother's Day" to me or anything like it. Nothing from them either. Sooo my hubby went out and got me a lovely card from him and a rose! Such a sweet hear!!!
OMG did I ever make a mistake!!!!!! OK LOVE 80's music ok??? Go into a store that has 4 cd's of 80's music bought it brought it home and did these ppl ever tourcher the music....................... It sounds so bad!!!! Stupid me!!! Now I want the music BUT I want it sang by the origal ppl MY God at the CD's I gotta get!!
Hey Marie!! This morning I'll go to my g-mothers for Mother's Day and we'll decorate the graves of my family IE decoration Day so I'll start up my greatings after I get back in. Hope all is well in ur neck of the woods.
Good Sunday morning all those prospects sound great. I love Chatham. Going to 9 Mass and I will pray extra hard this morning and light a special votive candle. I went to the beach yesterday. Noy enjoyable as it was very windy and the seaweed stench was terrible. Russ does not feel comfortable going into places with the walker. We postponed ny birthday dinner until next Saturday. Glad you had a good BG. Mine was 106.
Still no rain but we water every day so my plants and trees doing well.
Tom is a big help. He wears the Big Blue Test and DHF tee shirts.
All for now. My very best to Ed. ST. Joseph here I come. HUGS,
Reed
I love sup so I would be a good customer.
The funnest part about it???? Ud think u could leave me alone for a few houyrs right??? Not so!!! I'm bad! LOL! That was the 1st time I had been totally alone in like 3 years b/c of thoser STUPID lows!!! LOL!
Oh Marie - I am chuckling about Reed and Russ going to BB&B. It's a fun store. I have to still be pretty careful with my salt intake, so generally don't have guac at a restaurant but rather make it myself. I have a mini electric food chopper that I use to puree the avocado, although I do like it somewhat chunky. I think next time I'll just dip it with lettuce cups or carrot stix as I felt just awful for about three hours and then was afraid of going hypo. Yuck. The grocery store that is closest to me has it's own home economist, wearing a white coat and walking the aisles. She said instead of chips to buy wonton wrappers and cut them in wedges and bake them in the oven until crisp. I didn't have time to check out the nutrition data but will get around to it. Might be good with some smoky paprika sprinkled on top. Hope you and Ed have a good weekend.
Good Morning,Marie. I completely forgot about the chat. I was grocery shopping. Tom is here for 5 days so that means Reed's Diner works overtime. He ran this morning comes in and takes down the black electric frying pan..a signal he wants a Lumberjack breakfast. Bright sun. No rain. BG 98. Russ is walking a little without the walker. That no hip operation took a big load off his shoulder. Did you read where they took an 8 month old baby off the plane as her name was on the No Fly List? It is amazing to me how your readings go up and down so. I d not know how you cope. When I go low I panic. How big is Btanchville? Would there ber enough people for Ed to run errands take people to doctors etc. We need that here. I am going to Bed,Bath and beyond as Russ thinks our kitcchen chairs too hard on his rear. I hope you have a good day. you and Ed always in mt Prayers and thoughts. HUGS,Reed
Marie- I just saw where Tu is having a meet-up in Philly. I would really love to come and meet my friends ( especially you) who will come there. Since I don't drive anymore, I will have to check Jim's schedule for that day. I sent Reed a b-day card, I hope he has a happy one. I can't believe it is a year that Ed is out of work. I wish I could do something for you both. Has he ever thought of doing anything different from the work he did before ? Jim did that 2x after leaving the work he did for 20 years. Even now, being retired, he has 2 small jobs a couple days a week. ( He delivers balloons for party store, and drives a neighbor's elderly mother to the beauty salon and shopping once a week.) Jim always says " Think outside of the box." Cat
Hello Marie. So very happy nothing wrong with Russ's hip that was a big relief and a weight off my shoulder. I just read the extended unemployment benefits ends Sat. What are folks going to do. What kind of a night did you have? I hope good. Were you high or low? Do you call your Mother I think it is too far to visit her. Here the gas has gone from $4.31 to $4.04. I cannot tell you how hard I pray say the Rosary that something opens up for Ed.It must be terrible to be going through it. You knowit is not the qualifications but the age. Tom says theyare doing the same thing at the university. Take good care of yourself mke some more of those coasters take a walk. I care about the two of you. HUGS,Reed
Good Morning,Marie. Russ was up again had a cup of tea. I wonder if today is on his mind. He said if had to have hip replacement he would do it. Not walking getting to him. Then..rememeber the adrenal gland growth we had forgotten. They ghadn;t, He sees Dr. Hus (pronounced Sue) May 22. We never got the promised rain. We both look like shepherds but we cannot see us going in the barber hop with walkers. I might ask Tom to put a bowl on our heads and cut around. MY BG 104./Sun bright. Did you have a good night or was it Blah? How about your readings? All over the place? Give my best to Ed. I will keep you posted. Take good care. I care. HUGS,POPS
Hello Marie. I got home safe and sound. No problems. I wanted to gain 2 or 3 pounds as I am way under goal. No such luck. I only gained 1/2 pound. Topic was value of fruits and veggies. NO RAIN yet. Hope you are feeling better Best to Ed. HUGS,Reed
