Spring has sprung here, what a beautiful weekend yet again! Hope yours was too :)

Marie- I hope the cat is better. They go after anything. One of ours eats rubber bands and paper and the other went after my pills on the kitchen counter. Hope you are feeling better. My stomach hasn't been too good the past few days. We ate at a vegetarian rest. and I think I are too much fiber. I had lentils and tabbouleh salad. Jim and I are planning to go into Philly for the Meet-up on June 10. I hope you and Ed can come. No laughing matter we both are cracking your hand and on my big te I have a huge callous that has cracked open and bleeding,My foot doctor keeps it in good shape but because of various things I had to cancel 3 appointments but I will be there for sure at 1.Yur bread sounds fun..anything to make a few dollars. Blog? Me? What in the world would I have to say that would be useful or entertaining or interesting? I'm hoping to swing by the gallery where Andriena is showing her work in the very near future. I'd love to meet her in person. When she was working on the branding and colors for DHF I made a comment about the amount of orange on my screen. When she explained what was going on, I totally got it. She was very concerned about my feelings about it. Now I get to show up, look at her art and tell her how pleasant the site it. I really was just being a wise-acker. Who am I? It's her art, you know?

I've been invited to DHF HQ! I feel like Charlie in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Except for the carbs, fat and sugar involved in the Wonka thing. It was a great experience meeting the both of them and I'm impressed by the goodness in these people. With these guys at the helm, we're in good hands. And on a T1/1.5 standpoint, it was my first meet-up and I finally had the experience of being able to talk in shorthand and compare notes. It was incredibly empowering at this time. I hope you can get some face time with Emily in Philly. It's an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.

Hi Marie, I am feeling much better today. I am home on medical leave now and the doctor's are looking into what is causing my sudden neurolgical problems. I have time to take good care of my diabetes and to exercise and eat right.
Hope that you are doing okay? It is really pretty here today. Seeing doctors this morning is done, and now Suri and I have the rest of the day to do as we please I hope that you are having a good week.

Lunch was great fun. It was so good to meet Manny and I found Emily to be delightful. We're neighbors. What great folks. I love that Emily is a competitive ballroom dancer. We both loved "Strictly Ballroom" so I figure she's good people. Hopefully, we can do coffee in the near future. Now that I'm a bit unemployed, I do have some time on my hands.

Yes, I worked for Dewey. It's been dreadful. The last couple of weeks were truly surreal. My group decided they were going to open their own shop. Given the mixture of staff and attorneys, I was going to be unanchored since Denise wouldn't commit to time in SF and since she needs to have someone local, I was extra. I'm having lunch with Manny and Emily today as a matter of fact. What an interesting turn of events. I was just pleased as punch that Manny wanted to get together for lunch. :)

I figure I will take advantage of some of the UI and get my head on straight and see what I want to do. It would be nice to get out of the shark tank completely, but I'm not sure what I can do that is transferable to the non-legal side. There's going to be a certain amount of navel gazing for a bit as I figure out what I can manage to take in a pay cut.
