Good Morning,Marie. The paper's headline says it all. BERYL SMASHES ST> AUGUSTINE. Wild and crazy night. The wind and rain smashing against the house. Lull now. More coming. Tom checked around no damage. St. Augustine old. Drainage not good. Many areas flooded. They cancelled all Memorial Day events. I cannot believe it was 68 years ago I was in the Navy. How are things with you? Did you have a good night? How was your reading? Mine was 104. I notice when I do the birthdays there is a chat room. Is that something new? It seems to be there every day. Kids still on the lake? How is Ed doing? I feel so very sorry about the situation.you going to Ed's brother/ My barbecue plans are shot. We will have to have it inside. Take good care your self. I care and my best to Ed. HUGS,Reed

Marie - it was so much fun in the chatroom yesterday. We really had a groove going, being silly and all. I loved it.
I hope the new boy didn't get a wrong impression of us.

That was a fabulous tribute Marie. I loved the video. When Saundra stated that her grandchildren were prediabetic, I assumed that she was the older woman in the picture. She was so young and wise. How sad for her Mom.
We all appreciate your efforts to keep TuD going. I remember that you reached out to me when I was battling the neuropathy. I tend to get very upset during the flame wars so I will probably deleted sometime soon. Nevertheless, TuD has been very helpful for me. Joanne

Thanks for sharing your quilt Marie. It's wonderful. I am coming up to my 10th year and I wish I had known about TuD when I first began. I am experiencing a lot of anger and grief right now and Saundra's post gave me such a feeling of peace.

Good Morning,Marie. I wish I could send a photo but everyone would faint. From his hip to his ankle Russ is all purple. They said it was COUMADAN. They have taken him off it. Sees the doctor Tuesday. Tom is exhausted...he did not run. He is still in bed. Reed's Diner will be late this morning. Sorry about Chelsea. There is a law against that but how can you prove it. They worry about benefits especially insurance. To me it is a crime. So very sorry. My knees are bot good but I plug along. My BG 109. Going grocery shpping later. I think we will go to Hammock..nice drive along the ocean. Take good care and have a good day. MY very vest to Ed. HUGS,Reed

Hi Marie, I didn't want to tell anyone about the hospital, but then I had some good memories from being there so I wanted to tell somebody some of the cool things I did, like have pet therapy with a golden retriever and yoga physical therapy. Those made my stay nice, but I was happy to leave. I was at the NNMC at Bethesda, Maryland and it is nice there. Also good to be with the troops. I met some that were war wounded and they were so brave and optimistic, so discplined and sharp, really inspiring and impresssive people.
We are having overcast skies and it is muggy here today. I am not confined to not do things so I am trying to get motivated to do some light cleaning and take a walk. Do you have any plans for Memorial Day. I should really call my sister. I haven't spoken to her for a while, she is ten years older than me and ailing, but still doing well, she suffers from fibromyalgia and has to be really careful. She controls it with exercise and with diet and has to be careful about getting rest. She is allergic to a lot of things too. I just hate to call though because sometimes all we do is talk about ailments! What a bummer, ya know. She lives in Michigan. Well, now to get up and do something! What are you up to today? Lots.

Hi Marie- How did you make out after the storm yesterday ? It was awful here. By the time I got to close all of the windows, my back door and floor were soaked. My poor cat, Zorro, was so scared of the noise, we didn't see him until evening. He was under a bed upstairs. Our girl cat, Maggie, was fine. I think girls are tougher. In our morning paper it said that bears are in greater number this year. People have seen about 5-6 in the past couple of days. They aren't too far from our neighborhood. They come across the Delaware River from Jersey. It is the "teen-age" males who are put out by their moms. I know you get a lot in your area. Any plans for the weekend ? We will probably just stay home, and Jim will do some gardening. My neighbor gave me some home grown red leaf lettuce, it was delicious. Do you grow lettuce ? Jim said he doesn't want to grow it for the deer. Take care of your self. Cat

Good Morning,Marie. Slow here. I did the B's and Welcomes. I feel awful I cannot get to my friends every day but time and other things take mt time. I wonder if I should leave. Russ just left for the doctor. Taking all these pills but I see very little improvement. That purple blotch on his hip is getting bigger. Tom is a godsend. He waits on him hand and foot. We bought a HANDI RAIL> It goes under the mattress and there a stand up rail. He tried it and got right out of bed.If doctor says so he will go to Rehab. Tom is with him and he will tell the doctor things Russ has the habit of forgetting...ON PURPOSE,to tell his problems. My BG 106. Had a good night. How was your night>? Were you high or low? So much going on here. Tonight I am having swordfish for them cod for me. For lunch potato salad and baked summer squash. Thank the good Lord I can still cook. How is Ed?
I hope he is doing ok. I said the Rosary this morning for you anf Got Tom too so something has to happen. Have a good day. Take care. I care. HUGS,Reed

Sorry I missed your message! I decided to pass on Philadelphia as I wasn't quite sure about how to approach a conference of doctors, etc.? I'd have gone if the group was looking for warm bodies to make a large presence or something but wandering around by myself seemed sort of expensive?

Narie- I gave Reed some advice for Russ's coumadin. Both of my parents were on it for many years. Their blood was sometimes tested weekly, even daily if the doc thought it necessary. Poor Reed he really has his hands full. How are things with you ? Are you feeling any better. Did Billy go home yet ? We are having the weirdest sun & rain day. One minute I hear thunder & the next it is sunny. I'd better go close some window, it looks like it is going to pour. Cat

Hi Marie. Thanks for the link to your blog, "I had Lunch with Manny and Andreina". It was a memorable blog and I truly enjoyed it. If I get back to California, I'll certainly make a point of trying to see Manny and Andreina. My husband is from San Diego, so a Calif. trip would be wonderful on many levels. Cheers!
