GOOD FOR U!!!! I think that pm I sent u was enough reward atlesst for me anyway!!! Tell ED that he's got to get u something nice now & with a good price tag on it! LOL!
Marie- This hot weather doesn't make me feel better. Going to 100 today. I finish the antibiotic tomorrow, I am glad for that. Maybe my BG will go back to normal. Last night it was 423, so I took lots of insulin and this morning it came down to 110. Let's see if I can keep it in that area today. Don't worry about the phone call, Jim called to tell you about me being in the hospital ,but I was able to go on line. Did you read my blog ? I have another one to write about Hospitalland. We are going to CA in 3 weeks, I hope I am better by then. Thanks for staying in touch. Cat
God Morning,Marie. I was up at 4 and did the B's and W;s...is it too late to say on yesterday's list the two Geoffreys were one and the same. Russ has to have his Coumadan checked. Then we leave there to the surgeon,Dr. HSU (SUE). Russ has a lot of questions and set up a time for the surgery. Tom goes to CA tomorrow for a big conference. About 25,000 attend. So Russ wants him here so I think it wil be first week in July. My BG 98. How was your night? Were you high or low? I feel so sorry for Sparky. Praying like crazy. Didn;t you want to go to Maine or was it a guy thing? Have a good day. Take good care. HUGS,Reed
Hi Marie-Thanks for your good wishes. I still feel lousy, I think it is the antibiotic. I am taking Keflex 3x a day. I try to take it after I eat 'cause it tends to make my stomach queasy. I stopped by Sparky's wife's page and left her a note. I certainly hope no one else gets cellulitis. They say things happen in 3's. My BG are staying in the 200 range even though I upped my Humalog before meals & added correction doses. I don't think my BG will return to normal until this episode is over. It is really hot here and supposed to go higher tomorrow. Hope you are doing OK. Take care Cat
Thanks for the feedback about the Accu-Check Aviva. I've been using it for a while now (ever since Bernstein recommended it) and have been very pleased. Good to know you have had such good results verifying the accuracy against the lab. Great idea -- I'm going to do that from now on.
Thankyou Marie, we need the hugs. They are sending him home today, but he is only a little better. His fever broke last night, but I won't be surprised if it comes back up in a couple days. Read my comment to Reed and Doris...he does need the prayers. Love all you guys on here!
Nothings really happening I've just been feeling pretty bad for the last 2 days. It's HOTTT and my body is reacting to it like it does every year about this time. Funny to me when it gets hot I start throwing up and feeling pretty bad just kinda catching up with my page and looking over tud. Are we gonna have another chat this weekend?
Good Morning,Marie. Things hectic. Had to get Russ out for his COUMADAN test..still low. We get a call about 4 telling us what to do. Then I make a chart. Right now he has been going every week. The other doesn't want but has to. Ever see a grown man cry? It is pitiful. But God does not give us crosses we cannot carry. TOPS tomorrow. My subject: A little of this and a little of that. My BG 98. I hope you had a good night and your readings ok. Is this a GUILD day? Take good care. I care. My best to Ed. HUGS,Reed
Hi Marie. Thanks so much for the headsup re the chat room. I have been having a serious problem with the TD site. When I click the address on my favorites list I often get the message "Windows Explorer cannot locate this site". Then, if I'm lucky enough to get on, it often crashes. Has anyone else reported similar problems? I just love the pics of the meetup. It was good for you to get away and have a respite for the stress. Did you see where Reed said he could have given away 100 TOPS cards at the beach? I laughed for a long time. And still am. Here is a flower just for you. I think the colors are stunning.
Good Morning,Marie. Things look brighter here. Tom just left. He spent the night. Yesterdaym,we drove on the beach. A lovely day and the beach was mobbed. About 4 we three went and sat on the deck and gabbed..it was very pleasant and a nice breeze. My BG 110. I have not spoken to the lady yet. Russ drives. Tom cleans. I cook and shop. I wonder if Brit has had her baby yet? Russ sees the foot and ankle man this morning. He says it feels much better. He is not using the walker t all. Hope things are well with you. Hive my best to Ed. So far sunny and bright and I hope it does not get beastly hot. Take good care. I care. Hugs,Reed
Hey Marie thanks for the info on that and will definitely give it a go. Hope all is well with you and yours today and once again thanks for all the help and kindness you have shown me. Speak to you laters Melissa
Hello Marie. Not feeling too well today. It is my knees. I suppose I will have to have those injections again. Something strange happened today. I was shopping with Tom in PUBLIX. Doing ok when all of a suden my left leg locked and I could not walk.I just stood there not daring to move. I moved my leg backwards a few times and was able to walk enoigh to get to the casher and get to the car. This has never happened to me before. I hope I can make church in the morning. About $AM there was a gust of wind like a twister and did it ever rain. How are things with you? Your readings good? I hope so. Mine was 98. I am just going to rest today elevate my leg. Give my best to Ed. Hugs,Reed
Morning Marie!! Well....here I am with ONE week left to school (not counting the mandatory first aide course the week after that, on the 27/28th). Of course, it's madness at school as we wind down and come to a close. As it is with all clubs/groups. Yesterday was the school's annual Father's Day Breakfast, followed by a canoe trek for dads, some staff (not I!!), and students in grades 4 to 8. This meant
that we teachers/staff had to be at the school at 7 am to prep. for a full fare breakfast! We had our breakfast before the event
started at 8! It was a long day in spite of less students/classes. After my day at school...helped our daughter shop for furniture
etc for her new place. Rush rush rush!! Dinner on the run! This is the weekend my daughter is moving into an apartment...
which means WE ARE/I AM looking after her little guy during the move. Our son, his wife and their two little ones will not be
moving to their house 'till mid July!! As well....Len will be picking up Stephen (daughter's little sprout) daily to bring him here
to be babysat by our d-i-l....and in July and on, driving him to our son/daughter-in-law's new place! Len should start a chauffeur
business, as in driving folks to appointments etc....I'm SURE there's a need there! In the midst of all this, there's nothing but
arguments, one-upmanship and nasty words between our daughter and son/d-i-l, and I am SO SICK OF IT....that I went as far
as to say to our son..."makes me wonder why we had any children". There's not much worse than being caught between 2
feuding loved ones.
So...I'm tapping away sucking back a cuppa while the 3 little ones are watching something with grandpa...I'm still in jammies,
and looking forward to a shower before I head for the front!
Have a SUPERB weekend1 Any plans?? Luv......linda ♥
thanks Marie - since I often drive to Philadelphia for meetings with my design teams... I kinda always think I am nearby enough. I was jammed this weekend anyway - I am glad you all had a great time!
