Thankyou so much for your message Marie! I tried to find it on here, and couldn't so I may miss things you asked. Alex is doing good, but we've noticed problems in his concentration doing homework and stuff. He seems like an ADD, ADHD kid which I had one of each, plus we still suspect autism. He is bored at times being an only kid and not having other kids to play with on our street. He wants to visit other people's homes, which we have allowed with those who live here, but they are all older adults. Thanksgiving was nice and relaxed. Just Jon, Laura, me and Alex. Our other daughter Sherry and her husband were sick with some kind of stomach virus Thanksgiving morning. Laura cooked a lot of the dinner (Jon bought a ham from a store with sweet potato casserole and coffee cake) and we also had a turkey breast and other stuff. Alex spent a lot of time outside riding his scooter. He has some problems going on at school, and I have an appt with his teacher tomorrow. Starting to think about taking him to a pediatrician and trying ADHD medication. It helped his Uncle and his mother a lot, but don't know if its good for autistic kids. Hes not been truly diagnosed with anything yet. I do know hes having problems in school some time and the school still haven't received his records yet from the school in Mass.

Thanks, Marie, I have improved a lot! I have reached a plateau, and leveled off. I do not seem to be improving beyond that level. I can function rather well, but I have weakness and some disorientation that lingers. I will have to be patient.

I hope you and yours are well!

Oh Marie - do ou have the crud too? It seemed like I coughed 24/7 for three solid days. My neighbors heard me and came to check.
My nephro had hid blinders on and so pleased with my kidney numbers that he didn't seem to notice I was coughing violently in his face. Each specialist in their own little lane on the highway. Phooey.
I am gradually coming around and think I got unnecessarily weak from laying around too much.
21 degrees right now - on Thur it was 55, but the weather changed dramatically along with getting 3 inches of snow.
Hope you feel better and that things begin to smooth out with Mom. Have a good weekend.

Hi Marie- I hope you and Ed had a pleasant T-giving. We had a last minute invite to eat dinner with some new friends we met recently. I ate a little bit of everything except the stuffing, and by this morning my BG was back to normal. Jim has been having some trouble getting his blood thinned with just coumadin. A new doc put him on Lovenox too. It is an injectable anti-coagulant. Now he knows what shots feel like. I hope it helps to thin his blood.
How is your mother doing ? Did you get her settled in her apt ? Today looks like it will be a nice, sunny day. Supposed to go up to 60. Have a good weekend. I plan to stay away from all of the malls, no crazy shopping for me. Take care. Cat

the t:slim, has so far, been the best move I've ever made. Gorilla Glass touch screen, tones that are easy for an ol grump like me to hear without fail, and all of the functions make sense, and everything's in color. Its like an iPhone with a pump app. I checked with John Walsh (insulin-pumpers) and he gave it high praise. Now, after getting used to it (5-6 weeks) I find it no less than the best I've ever owned. & I have been at it a while!
