The 2.5 to 3 was reading level Marie. Meant to type that. His IQ seems to be normal. He can commprehend a lot of what we talk to him about, joking around and stuff seems to be like a normal 10 yr old boy, but he does seem a bit immature to me, but could be because of his conversation and stuttering.

Thankyou so much Marie! We are reading with him. His reading wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for how bad he stutters over and over. It makes it take forever. We read some lines, and have him read some anyway though. His vocabulary is not up to 4th grade level. Testing at school said he was at 2.5 to 3, I guess barely 3rd grade level. Doing langauge homework takes forever because he has a hard time understanding and getting what it is they are trying to teach him. Spelling he is doing great in that and in math. His disability is communication. This is the little kid that when he last visited us, at almost 7 yrs old, he didn't talk much at all and when he did, it was haltingly in flat statements. I wish we were rich and could afford to get him tutors and help. I am going to try and find a pediatrician to take him to. He does have signs of ADHD, but I still think its more like autism with ADHD also? I am studying stuff on the computer
The card I sent just came back..I sent it before Thanksgiving. Needed more postage. It will be on the way to you in the morning. Oven man comes at 9..I hope he can fix it..I am not in the mood to be buying a new stove. HUGS,Reed
Hello Marie. I saw the video was amazed and surprised. Today was also my Mother's Birthday. She was born in 1902. Lost 6 pounds concerned.Dark and cold here. Off to lunch, HUGS,
Reed
Good Morning,Marie. I got up at 5. There was a message from Manny. He included the link to the video of his appearance at Joslin Clinic. The first guest MR I was stunned. I sleep well but 5AM seems to be my wakeup hour. Hope you had a good night and got your Readings down. My BG going down slowly. TOPS this morning. My best to Ed. HUGS,Reed
Good Morning,Marie. I hope this finds you feeling better and that the cough has lessened, I hate a cold. BG going down. TOPS tomorrow. I need to whip them in shape as a State Officer coming to visit next week. CYBER Monday. I did not know what it was but I got a lot of my Christmas gifts 50% off. Not as cold this morning. Did you get the snow? I hope there was no Guild as yu should stay home until you get over that cold completely. The long time Mayor of Boston has been in the hospital. They discovered he has Type 2 Diabetes, Give my best to Ed. You keep warm and rest. HUGS, Reed
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. It was so quiet around here since even my own family forgot. (This is my 2nd attempt to wtite this since I pressed something and it vanished! Always doing that!)
Hello Marie. After waiting 3 days we got some new members. I do not know what is bothering me today. I cannot seem to get my head wrapped around anything. I think it is called BORED. Thankyou so much for your message Marie! I tried to find it on here, and couldn't so I may miss things you asked. Alex is doing good, but we've noticed problems in his concentration doing homework and stuff. He seems like an ADD, ADHD kid which I had one of each, plus we still suspect autism. He is bored at times being an only kid and not having other kids to play with on our street. He wants to visit other people's homes, which we have allowed with those who live here, but they are all older adults. Thanksgiving was nice and relaxed. Just Jon, Laura, me and Alex. Our other daughter Sherry and her husband were sick with some kind of stomach virus Thanksgiving morning. Laura cooked a lot of the dinner (Jon bought a ham from a store with sweet potato casserole and coffee cake) and we also had a turkey breast and other stuff. Alex spent a lot of time outside riding his scooter. He has some problems going on at school, and I have an appt with his teacher tomorrow. Starting to think about taking him to a pediatrician and trying ADHD medication. It helped his Uncle and his mother a lot, but don't know if its good for autistic kids. Hes not been truly diagnosed with anything yet. I do know hes having problems in school some time and the school still haven't received his records yet from the school in Mass.
Hello Marie. I am so mad. I wrote a nice, long message ended urging people to donate to DHF if they could got ready to send and it had disappeared. A cold morning 38 degrees. MASS was good. Did my usual votive candles and prayers. Finished my Christmas shopping all online. BG going down but not as fast as I want. How are things with you? I hope your Readings are ok My very best to Ed. Cold there? Have a nice rest of the day. HUGS,Reed
Thanks, Marie, I have improved a lot! I have reached a plateau, and leveled off. I do not seem to be improving beyond that level. I can function rather well, but I have weakness and some disorientation that lingers. I will have to be patient.
Oh Marie - do ou have the crud too? It seemed like I coughed 24/7 for three solid days. My neighbors heard me and came to check. My nephro had hid blinders on and so pleased with my kidney numbers that he didn't seem to notice I was coughing violently in his face. Each specialist in their own little lane on the highway. Phooey. I am gradually coming around and think I got unnecessarily weak from laying around too much.
21 degrees right now - on Thur it was 55, but the weather changed dramatically along with getting 3 inches of snow.
Hope you feel better and that things begin to smooth out with Mom. Have a good weekend.
Good Morning,Marie. 42 degrees here. I had a good night. BG finally out of the 200'2. Boy he must have given me a heavy dose of Cortisone. Up at 5 as Tom went running 18 miles. He is getting ready for a Maraton. I cannot even run to the door haha. All cleared up from the holiday. Lots of stuff left over. I did a lot of Christmas shopping on line yesterday. I cannot see me going into stores with a walker. Tom going to finish painting the peak of the house. Big game today ends the season Florida vs Florida State. Need to work in grocery shopping. How are things with you? You sleep good? Yur Readings OK/ Kathy told me they have snow. Sorry your dinner not Good. This was the 42nd year I did the holiday. Used to have a big crowd. Take good care. When is Ed's birthday is it around 12/2? Hugs,Reed
Hi Marie- I hope you and Ed had a pleasant T-giving. We had a last minute invite to eat dinner with some new friends we met recently. I ate a little bit of everything except the stuffing, and by this morning my BG was back to normal. Jim has been having some trouble getting his blood thinned with just coumadin. A new doc put him on Lovenox too. It is an injectable anti-coagulant. Now he knows what shots feel like. I hope it helps to thin his blood. How is your mother doing ? Did you get her settled in her apt ? Today looks like it will be a nice, sunny day. Supposed to go up to 60. Have a good weekend. I plan to stay away from all of the malls, no crazy shopping for me. Take care. Cat
the t:slim, has so far, been the best move I've ever made. Gorilla Glass touch screen, tones that are easy for an ol grump like me to hear without fail, and all of the functions make sense, and everything's in color. Its like an iPhone with a pump app. I checked with John Walsh (insulin-pumpers) and he gave it high praise. Now, after getting used to it (5-6 weeks) I find it no less than the best I've ever owned. & I have been at it a while!
Good Morning,Marie. What a bight. My knees started to ache about 1. I tossed and turned and got up at 3, Seeing the orthopedic doctor at 1:30...no doubt shots I am going to ask him if there is a pain pill I can take between shots. How are you doing> Were tiyr Readings good? It is a great thing you are doing working in the fod pantry. I bever realized how many needy families there are. TOPS meets in a church. They have a food pantry. The first meetng of the month we give to the food pantry. The pastor asked us for a while to bring soap shampoo toothbrushes toothpaste etc. I hope all is well with you. My best to Ed, BG 106. Take good care, I care, HUGS,Reed

Marie, I am sorry to hear about your mom, and I hope she will recover soon. My recovery is slow, but I am feeling stronger.
Thanks for your concern!
