Good Morning,Marie. I am hoping it is Kathy's computer that has gone wrong and NOT that she has had a relapse especially of the kidney problem. I sent her a Christmas card when I sent yours. This is so unusual for her. Tree up decorated Russ will put on tinsel and popcorn strands. Then 3 ceramic trees big ones. My BG 106. Tom has to leave at 4 in the morning to get in Jax in time for the race. We will go to MASS tonight at 5 as that counts for Sunday. Need to grocery shop this morning taking vack milk that soured and date says use by 12/23. I hope you have a good day. Good luck chanhing your infusion check. I do not think I could do it. How is your Mom? Does she realize you are cleaning out her apt? Give my best to Ed. Take care. HUGS,Reed

Good Moorniing,Marie. How are things this morning. I knew your Dad was a maker of fine things. You and I used to chat with Daniel. I wonder how he is? I wonder if a hidstorical society would take some of your good furniture. I am worried. I have not heard from Kathy in 6 days. Very unusual as she was very faithful. I hope she did not have a relapse. Russ goes to surgeon this morning re the nose. I guess a lot more work to be done.I have the urologist at 1. He never finds anything wrong so I hope it continues. Have you rested? I hope so. How was your night? My BG 106. Dark dreary cold rainy here. Take good care of yourself. I care. My very best to Ed. HUGS,Reed

Hi Marie, I read your note on Reed's page and had to come over and give you some virtual hugs and support. I am so sorry that you are going through hard times with your mom and all her belongings. When my mom passed away from cancer, she and my dad were pretty good about cleaning away the life accumulations. They just had a big house and lots of furniture. My dad ended up moving in with my sister when he got macular degeneration and lost most of his sight. She had a big house so all the furniture ended up at her place and a lot of it in her basement. When my dad died she wanted to give me half the furniture, and it was okay because I lived in a townhouse then so we went to Michigan, packed up a U-Haul and brought it all back. None of it matched my furniture but we had three levels so at least it fit. My sister made me promise to keep everything "in the family."
The trouble came when I separated from my husband and moved into a small apartment. Now I am packed so tight with furniture you can hardly see the carpet! None of it matches either! I am always bumping into things because it is too crowded and I don't dare give anything away because I don't want my sister to get mad.
How is your cough and your diabetes during all of this? I am sending positive vibes your way and hope that you get everything sorted out and mom settled down. I hope that all this stress is not wearing down your health.
I am back at work now, finally all my physical problems are down to a dull roar. Work is in shambles. They did a lot of dumb things while I was gone and I am fighting hard to put things back together again. It took me years to set up an organized system and now I am starting all over again, spending extra hours is so tempting but I won't. I just have to be patient and it will come together in time. If you are in my neighborhood and have a time when you just need to get away, give me a call and I will take you out to lunch. Take care, I am thinking of you. Lots.

Thank you, Marie, you're my very first friend on TuDiabetes.com. I'm already enjoying reading all the posts and am finding so much of what is said by everyone familiar, including one post by a guy who said he changed his lancets as often as he changed the batteries in his smoke detectors. I laughed out loud; I do it more frequently than twice a year, but not by much. Thanks again for your kindness. Rita

Saw your message on Reed's page and I am so sorry. Several yrs ago my Mother was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and I had to take her from the hospital in MD to my brother's house to live in WV. It was a terrible time for all of us with my Mother leaving friends and family behind knowing full well what this horrible disease had coming for her (had an uncle who had it). It tore us all and my mother up. My sister-in-law was going to care for her because we had a daughter, her husband and 2 tiny kids living with us. My Mother went downhill fast like the disease does, and she went from living with my sister-in-law, to an assisted living, to a nursing home in 4 yrs and died there. Broke my heart, and in spite of everything, her mind was fine, but she was trapped in a body that she couldn't even make her eyes go where she wanted, a complete invalid. If it wasn't for God, I would have fallen to pieces. Me and my sister-in-law cried and cried when she went from a hosp. there to a nursing home and having to tell her she couldn't go back to the assisted living place she had been in a for a yr. No one ever likes being in a nursing home dependent on having to wait for someone to come take you to the bathroom. She screamed sometimes. I can really feel for you with the stress because I went through it. Feeling terrible that I couldn't take care of my mother because I was helping my daughter and family survive by living with us. My daughter is "sickly" with severe asthma attacks. I was an angry unhappy lady. Jon was working out of state all during that time, and home only on weekends if he could get there. Now we are back to Jon and I being together, but caring for our daughter Laura again and her son whom we finally got custody of. Life sucks, but we still believe in God who sustains us.

Bless you sweet lady,
Sharon

Marie- So sorry you have so much stress with moving your mother. I feel for you, b/c Jim and I cleared out 2 apts. when my parents and his dad passed away 2 years ago. Are there any thrift shops near your mother's apt. that pick up stuff ? Hospitals usually have thrift shops nearby their facility or even Goodwill takes most things. Perhaps you can check on these. Consignment shops will take clothes even if you don't plan on returning for them. ( Just don't tell them.) I will say a prayer for you to have strength to do this task. If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know. Cat

Hi Marie, I saw your post on gators page. I am thinking about you. I buried both my parents and it is just a monumental experience of all the hoops during the process one goes through. I have a brother that gave me no help too and you have a heavy cross. I will offer prayers for you during this rough patch,

Pauly
