Good Morning,Marie. Christmas has come and gone. Now comes taking down all the decorations. Lots of nice gifts except for the idiots who gave me candy. My favorite..3 Farberware skillets. My old ones a disgrace. I put photos up of the Cathedral and me squeezed in the pew. Tom has a terrible cold..I bet he got it there. We are supposed to get haircuts this morning. This afternoon go to Gainesville to give the cat his IV and take to Vet in the morning. I hope this is the last IV. My pork came out great but for some reason I was not hungry. BG 110. How were your readings? Did you change your set? How is Ed these days? I hope he is not discouraged. 2013 has to be a better year. I hope Kathy comes home soon and she gets her friend Valerie to stay with her. Take good care and when you do not hear tomorrow you will know where I am. HUGS,Reed

Merry Christmas to u and ED!!!!! Yes the g-kids were over here yesterday for Christmas and they opened their gifts after we went to my g-mothers for Christmas Eve.
We went back there today so she wouldn't be alone for Christmas. Funny thing my hubby did????? he was at me g-mothers and she decided she wanted some milk and bread while we were there right??? being christmas everything wasclosed so he had to go almost 30 miles to another town and found one place with the milk there and 10 more miles to find the bread lol!
Here we have a snow storm warning out it's suppost to hit around 3am so the texco places that were open have sold out of milk and bread (the 2 things all Southern pplbuy when we hear the wenter weather warnings lol my hubby used to work for a dariy and he would say that if they gave a chance of snow it was his busest time lol) hope u guys had a good one!

Hi Marie, I hope you have a nice Christmas, a lovely 26/26 Anniversary and a Happy New Year. I am jealous that you have snow. It was only in the air down here. Soon it will be dark and we will start the celebration. Have a great night. Lots.

Marie, the same back to you and your family. We are ready for Christmas and looking forward to seeing Alex open all his gifts. He has a huge pike if gifts. He is pretty laid back with his excitment, but he couldn't sit still in church as much as he usually does. His Mom has a boyfriend now who he seems to like and he is hanging out in her room watching tv with them till he has to go to bed. Worried about Jon tonight. He has started with a fever, and has thrown up a lot. Don't suspect flu (had the flu shot), suspect its just this ongoing thing hes had ever few weeks. Or it could be dialysis just makes him sick. We are conserned about bad weather predicted for our area tomorrow morning into the afternoon. Chance of severe thunderstorms with hail and possible tornados. We are supposed to go to our other daughters house for gift exchange and dinner at noon tomorrow. Hope you are safe and warm where you have and have a great Christmas.

Hello Marie. I am getting old. I do not know if you have gone to the Poconos and back. er or not going at all. I feel much better. The thing only lasted a day. Sorry Ed has a cold. Tell him to take it slow and easy and drink fluids. I am going to MASS at 4 as all the others will be mobbed. I decided on a pork loin for tomorrow. Cool here but sunny. The house looks lovely but I just cannot get into the Christmas spirit. I used to have huge Open Houses and, now, down to three people. I thank God every day for Tom. My BG 104. How was yours this morning? Have a good day and a most Blessed and Joyous Christmas to you and to Ed. Hugs,POPS

Hi Marie,

I have been thinking about you. I am wondering where you will be celebrating Christmas this year. Will you be spending it at the Lake? I have not been around for a while, work has been a real stinker. I am sure glad that I am off for Christmas. Finally getting around to getting the tree up tonight. I am wondering if Zen Cat is going to behave herself with the Christmas decorations. I hope she doesn't try to climb the tree.
We are not doing much this year, we all have stomach aches and colds. I have done no shopping yet, and that has to be all done tomorrow. Thank goodness for 1-800-Flowers, with same day delivery, or I would be in serious trouble! I hope you have a Happy and stress free Christmas. Hope your all better from that terrible cold you had. Lots.

Good Morning,Marie. BRRR it is cold...40 degrees after a heavy, heavy rain. The heat is one. Tom is here and will be through New Years. We might drive in to Gainesville to give Frankie his IV. Right now he is at the GYM and from there he will go to Government House to work. On the way home hs will stop at the fish market and get swordfish for the two of them and codfish for me. The house is decorated. Russ now has to wrap gifts. He went into the department store..I guess no one gawked at him. He will be so glad when Jan 2 rolls around and they do the reconstruction. Thank you for your nice card. Glad we heard from Kathy. She will be in Rehab for a while..better than being home alone. I am doing ok. Knees PTL are good. BG 108. Did you have a good night? Were your Readings high? Did I tell you my SS cost of living was $3. I sent a check to Senator Schumer and sent a 43 check to him and said you want to cut our Cost of Living..a liter of milk is $3.29. Give my very best to Ed. Have a good day. HUGS, Reed

Timothy is home earlier than anticipated, so that means his place of work will not pay him for the time off while in the hosp. and recuperating. Apparently they cover the time frame if you're in the hospital for a minimum of 2 days!! So, he's on pain meds...and feeling very edgy due to not smoking. I'm urging him to talk to the doc re the patch or something to take him over the hump.
As for myself...I'm done with school now, for Christmas Break. Will be back in the thick of it on January 7th. BUT...that is THEN!! For now...I am HOME SWEET HOME!
First on the list tomorrow after sleeping in till 9 (and after coffee of course)....the Christmas cards!! Then...getting a new element for my oven. No element = no turkey!! Gifts....gotta buy 4 more...and wrap them.
Must finish decorating the tree. The kids are coming here on Christmas eve....everyone bringing something.
Hugs...linda

Good Morning,Marie. A little nippy here. We both had good nights PTL. I got a card off to Kathy. I wonder what is wrong? Russ is so embarrassed with that flap of skin by his nose. It is growing hair. He has to live with it until Jan 2. I am telling him he has to into a store today as he needs to get a gift for Tom. First he has to see the doctor for COUMADAN check and this afternoon the urologist. He has had cancer but successful removal. Are you all through at your Mom's or do you have more cleaning out to do? Mt BG 108. How was yours? I bought at the auction 3 small ceramic bowls. They cannot go in the oven. I was disappointed,. How is Ed doing? Any leads? I hope the year 2013 will be a better year. Tom comes tonight and stays through New Years. The house is 100% decorated. Angels and Santas everywhere. We should get rid of stuff. I think I will marinade a loin of pork for Christmas have not had that in a while. Have a good day. Hope your Readings good. You baking? love you. HUGS, Reed

Morning Marie!! Timothy our son (26) is recuperating. He has undergone the surgical procedure on Wednesday, to repair the puncture in his lung made by the tubing used to re-inflate it following the pneumothorax of October 10th. He should be in the hospital for another day or 2. Pray that he resists the urge of smoking (and that his wife Steph. who is due in June, also considers cessation!).
Smoking is indeed of little help in this matter, but not the cause. The cause revolves around asthma mostly, and being genetically predisposed to it.
hugs....linda ♥

Good Morning,Marie. We both had a good night. I think just getting all those bandages off made a difference for Russ. Chilly this morning 45 degrees. My BG 106. TOPS today last meeting of the year. Russ needs to go to a store but is embarrassed because of the flap. I said people will not even notice. Did you have a good night? How were your Readings? I hope good. Does Ed still get unemployment? I got my notice of my increase in Social Security. Mine is not big as teachers in MA did not work under Social Security. I got enough quarters working after retirement. I think I will go on a cruise...it was an increase of $3. LOL. Any plans for today? take good care. My very best to Ed. HUGS,Reed

Hello! Thank you for your comment. I am so happy that I found this site! I am very new to this and am still adjusting. I was initially diagnosed as Type 2, but came to find I'm a LADA Type 1. Have been on insulin (long acting and fast acting) for about 6 weeks now. In talks with doctor to start on the pump. How are you? What's your story?
