Hello Marie. Been busy. Russ for Coumadan test it was 1.5 should 2.5 so no doubt the doctor will call for a change in his medication. I went to PCP everything fine. I am going to live ha ha. Raining very damp. I had to put the heat on. I had a good night. My BG106. I hope your night well and Readings good. I cannot find the Awards winners weren't they supposed to be announced today. Tom comes toningt. He is doing Lent no bread no pasta no desserts but he will eat sugar free jello. How is Ed give him my best. How did your bread come out? I love fresh bread. Take good care. A NIG HUG,Reed
Ummm. So the techie issue. It seems straightforward, but is difficult to describe. In the live Chat Column, I can start at the top as I see it. I can follow it down and post a comment in the box that appears appropriately. But then as I observe this box, the "cursor"-that slide thingey to the side of the box bounces all over the place. And so I have no idea where in the discussion I might be. I would love to participate...xx000
Wow, thanks for the link, great info and insights!
Congrats on successfully managing your diabetes for 45 years. I can only imagine how much more difficult it was 40, 30, 20, or even 10 years ago. I suppose if you have to have this disease, there has never been a better time. Thanks again for reaching out.
Hi Marie just wanted to let you know,Summer is doing really good so far. She is still in intensive care but her blood results are good and the infection seems to be lessening. It wil be sometime before she is better but at least she is on the right road. Thanks for caring :) Tricia xx
Marie, thank you. Yes, overwhelming is exactly how I would describe the past two weeks. I am so glad I found this website, it has been helpful to read similar stories to mine. I won't be able to attend on Friday due to a work conflict but thanks for letting me know about it.
Good Morning,Marie. I had a good night. My BG 102. I hope your night good and your Readings good. They say heavy rain this afternoon. I do not know what I am going to do with the woman who only signs. I will give her a copy of the minutes each week. I just made out a chart detailing what each thing is. I called the Florida School for the Deaf (10 minutes away). They are going to pose everywhere to see if they can get a volunteer to sign one hour a week. Russ's nose. She injected something yesterday. It was basal cancer. He goes back in 5 months for her to get rid of puffiness. Today the heart doctor for him. These "golden years" so much fun. TOPS today. How is Ed? Please give him my very best. You take good care oif yourself. I care. A BIG HUG. POPS
Good Morning,Marie. Slow this morning. Doing this and that. It sounded like a wonderful tribute to your uncle. It got so hot here yesterday and in the house but I refused to put the A/C on. I used the ceiling fans. I had a good night. BG 106. How was your night and your Readings. I hope good. TOPS tomorrow. The lady doing the Program reads to us YAWN but at least she volunyeered . Russ sees Dr. Leake at noon. A follow up on the nose reconstruction. It looks fine to me. My eye is much better but will still use the drops. My best to Ed. Is this Guild day? Take good care. Hugs,Reed
Good Morning, Marie. How did things go. I bet it was a big send off. Because of my eye I sent messages to all. It is better this morning. Redness gone not sore but it still feel puffy. I am going to continue to use the antibiotic drops. I had a good night. My BG 104. How did you do? I hope your Readings are good. I was shocked to hear the Pope resigned. He felt he was too old and infirm to carry on. Poor Russ has a doctor appointment T W TH. Did you get much snow? Is it cold? Going to be 70 here. I think my big orange tree dead. That will be pricey to get that removed. How is Ed? Give him my best. Take good care. HUGS,Reed
Marie- Did you make it to your uncle's funeral ? Or are you snowed in ? You seem to be out of the main area of the snowstorm, seems it came further East. Today is a beautiful sunny day with a little snow on the grass. We got about 3-4", just enough to look pretty. Hope you are doing well. Is your mother settled in her new room ? It seems Reed has Pink Eye, not pollen. At least it can be treated topically. Lots still doesn't have any answers, they are still doing tests. I hope it turns out OK for her. Hope you have a better week. Cat
Thank you for the welcome to the community. As a parent of 2 kids with T1D and no family history at all, I am always amazed at how things have turned out. I will look to the groups for help, support and information as we all travel this road together. I hope to be able to make some worthwhile contributions as well.
Good Morning,Marie. I have been up since four. My eye is killing me. It feels like something is in it. Trying to get my doctor. Russ's legs are paining. He can hardly walk. When Tom comes he will take him to the orthopedic clinic. My Bg 106. Supposed to rain. I hope it does to get rid of the heavy pollen. Did you have a good night? How were your readings> I have prayed and prayed for Trisha's grandbabies. Tricia is such a good friend. What are you doing today? Me not much. Waiting for the doctor to call. How is Ed give him my best. You will be going to your uncle's funeral soon. I like his first name. Take care of yourself. HUGS,Reed
Good Morning, Marie. My right eye drove me crazy yesterday. I swear it was the pollen. I had a good night and the eye seems better. Feels like something is in it. BG 102. Did you have a good night? Readings good. I hope so. TOPS this morning. I hope I gain. Little warmer this morning. A Care Team member I have never seen before did 2 welcomes and gone. She must have received a letter from Emily. Any plans for today? Did yu go to the dentist? Everything ok? Give my best to Ed and have a good day.HUGS,Reed
I THINK MAIN PROBLEM WITH PUMP IS THE UNPREDICTABLE ABSORTION SITE AND IN TURN VERY DIFF TO DECIDE WHICH TYPE OF INFUSION SET TO BE USED AND FOR HOW MANY DAYS .PLEASE ANY BODY TO SHARE
NAMASTE I AM 50 YEARS OLD AND HAVING TYPE1 SINCE 30 YEARS ON PUMP SINCE 6 YEARS AND THIS IS MY 2ND PUMP STILL LEARNING ABOUT PUMP BUT NOT PREDICTABLE
I THINK PUMP SHOULD IMPROVE IN THE FOLLOWINING WAYS
1)BASAL DELIVERY SHOULD BE AS NEAR TO NORMAL RATE AS POSSIBLE
PRESENT RATE IS 0.05UNIT/MIN(FOR MINIMED 715)
THIS IS BIOPULSE, FOR NEW MINIMED754 IT IS 0.025/MIN COMES TO 20 TIMES INFUSION PER MIN ,THIS WILL REDUCE THE RISK O F HYPO,STILL IT IS LESS THAN NORMAL INDIVIDUAL,
2)NO DELIVERY ALARM STARTS ONLY AFTER NON DELIVERY OF 2.7 UNIT ,THIS WILL INCREASE BS BY 300+
3) SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE SO THAT ABSORPTION AT THE SITE OF INSULIN DELIVERY SHALL BE MORE PREDICTABLE
