Hey Iyaz, welcome to the club :D In reply to your query, I don't want to sound like everyone else but it does get better, I promise. And yeah, it's been a year for me but I'm still getting a hang of this. I do worry about the future, to be completely honest with you. But why worry when I really can't change anything except eat right and take care of myself. Do you want to know how I coped? I had this major rant on TuD about 6 months ago and that made me feel heaps better :D Check it out, I'm sure you're going through the same.
And for now, just do what we all do here, no worries, just living one day at a time :)
Feel free to message me any time you wanna talk.

I finally got the shock of my life when I moved to Florida..about 75 years old..A1C 9.5 pit right on insulin. O then got serious. I test I exercise I take my insulin 4 times a day I eat well watching carbs. I got my A1C to 5.9. It is a buisance a struggle meAns changes but it better than the alternative. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED..you can do it. Reed

We're so happy that you're finally here!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, and...Welcome home Iyaz!!
It WILL get better...promise!
This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups". Once in,
click on "all groups". You can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the
space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.

Hope you find the support and information you came looking for.
Here is a useful link to get you on your way:

There are also groups here for young people with diabetes, such as....
"Teenagers with Type 1", "College Students with Diabetes", "Young Adults with Diabetes", "Type 2 Teens!!!"(includes young adults)
(just to let you know, that type 2 is no easy task either...insulin often the case, and many lows here too!)

Hey, why don't you come join us in the TuD chat room?
You'll see us at the bottom of the home page.
We have a great time getting to know each other, sharing info and lots of laughs :)
It's on right now!

Take care....and keep in touch!

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
