Well, the sky fell here about a month ago. Scared the bejeebers out of us.
While we were sleeping, a huge slab of ice fell through our deck roof and smashed half of the cedar deck and it pushed through the outside screen door. The weather had been nuts...freezing, melting, freezing, melting. Our Insurance Guy said that they had 60 other similar accident cases in our city that week-end. We just have to okay the report/estimate, so they can get started on the new deck and roof soon. The Power of Nature!
I'm continuing with treatments for my RA as usual.
Sorry to hear that you need to get your knees replaced. That's scary but they will feel much better after, I'm sure. You'll be in my prayers during that time. My Cousin had that done due to his RA.
Always Good to hear that you and Anita and Family are doing well other wise Richard. :) Hugs *Terrie
I've made my reservation at the Holiday Inn. I will be there for 4 nights (Wed-Sat). I figure Thursday will be for medical exams and I'm going to try and set up a dinner with my Boston Facebook friends. I think there was some recent mention of your head injury. Has there been anything significant recently, or was it all several months ago? Tom
I just saw Emilie's video with you and Tom. I really enjoyed seeing you again and hearing your stories and advice too. Unfortunately we were gone away, so I couldn't see you live but the video was Fantastic. I can't wait to see you wearing your 75th year medal. I just made it past my 51 D Anniversary last month. So far to go. :D
hey richard, a similar thing happened to my mom (age 90) recently, she is doing ok at her retirement home, just moved to assisted living. keep in touch, you truly are an inspiration to me, and a big reason why I joined TuDiabetes 5 years ago.
Oh Richard...I didn't know that you were still taking meds for your head injury. I sure hope that you are doing okay. Yes, I'm sure you will be back to 100% sometime soon.:)
You're Welcome! Can't wait to see Anita's in due time when you feel up to it. Take Good Care Hon.
Here it is. Sorry that I couldn't pm it. Not sure why.
(I forgot to set it straight). As I mentioned, the middle part with the clock, hygrometer, plaque and thermometer, twirls around for easy viewing. I had brain-block when the owner asked what I wanted to write on it, so I gave Phil a card that thanks him for his kindness and support through the years also, etc. I also gave him a Cash For Life ticket and a 649 ticket. He won $12. Whoo Hoo! I also gave him a roll of "lifesavers". :)
Wow, that's a lot of years for Anita. She deserves one even more. I'm glad that you haven't needed her assistance since you got your pump. That must feel great.
Yes, that's an excellent idea Richard. There are many shops on the net with even more choices for her in their catalogues. There may be one in a bigger city near you with a site which would be less shipping cost? Yes? Good thinking! Let me know what happens please. :)
Hey Richard- I looked through "groups" and could only determine that Eggie is probably not here... there is no D Chocohaulics Society. Above all others, that is the group for me! :)
Well Richard, as always, you are able to see the silver lining in things others might not be able to. Again, I am so glad to hear from you and grateful you are doing well!!!!
