Wow Valerie...thank you SO much ♥ How kind of you to comment....
In greetings/birthdays....I try to get an image more or less associated with the person whom I am greeting....makes it that much more special :)
Since I didn't know where you live in Canada....I made it a Wintry scene as it's what (most of) Canada is experiencing in December....when I sent the greeting.
I know what it would mean to me if I were to receive the same.
Luv....linda
Actually, no, we do not have any epidemiologists. We are not a scientific organization and we do not study diseases - instead we do research on how the organizations handle the money that is donated towards type 1 research. That is how we determine which ones are doing a good job in the search for a cure or not.
Hey. As for med school, study, enjoy life, have activities outside of school and shadow doctors. Those are the big things that admissions committees look for. Some places really like research, others don't really care. All of them want to see that you've followed a variety of doctors around for multiple hours each. The other is to get a good MCAT score. I would advise you to take it before the new version of the test comes out in a few years. I'm on one of the advisory committees for that and I think the new test is going to be brutal.
Other than that, drop me a line with any other questions.
Sure, Valerie! Please email Emily Walton at emily@diabeteshf.org with your contact info, so she may send you a stack of brochures to place at your endo's office.
