Hi Jamie, I saw your picture and was so happy to find you looking pregnant?!? How is it going? I want to have kids some day and am constantly worried about doing it with diabetes. Please tell me your thoughts and progress with it all. If you are comfortable :) hope you're well! -Alexa

I just got back from my first scan and have been given a due date of 11th January. To be honest, not having any symptoms at all apart from having to double my insulin since day 1, I haven't felt at all pregnant. So when they said 'I can see one baby in there', I burst into tears!

Beautiful pic! Is that your 19 week bump? I am due in January and have no bump at all, just look fat as was fat to begin with!

As I have heard ginger helps a lot with the sickness a tip I first got from Marie B,sucking on a lemon helped me 2.
I had my first Scan Jamie and its the most Amazing thing ever to see it for the first time ever is crazy, saw its tiny legs and hands it looks like a normal little baby already.I seem to be spending a lot of time at the hospital go every week on tuesday to see the baby team and the diabetic team so as u might guess spending a lot of time sitting, waiting and giving blood life of a diabetic.lol

That's great that you're doing so well! I am taking a one year Office Administration program. It is mostly Microsoft Word and Excel. I have to make a lot of spreadsheets and letters, not very exciting :| I just want to get a decent job so I can have more fun and enjoy life. Yeah Type 1 does not get very much publicity at all. The worst thing is when on TV they start to talk about "Diabetes" and they don't even say which type. So people think they know about "Diabetes" but don't even know there are two types. I guess one question would be what is one thing I can do to help support others with Diabetes? I know I don't know what it is like to have it, so what can I do?
