I have made SO many friends here at tu., some I meet daily, some I meet frequently.
Some...occasionally. No matter, I have been supported and have felt loved.
I don't know how I managed before "coming home"...but here is where I belong :)
Tu.diabetes is my second family...here, I need not explain nor defend myself. Here,
I am free to be me ♥ Thank you for your friendship dear Asma ♥....linda.

Asma, if you look at some of the A1c numbers as you look at new people your numbers ain't that bad. Just keep working at it. Make changes gradually. You will learn over time how things affect you. We are all differnet and we respond to foods and mediacations different.

To be honest I am almost 58 yo. I am set in my ways. My wife makes good healthy meals and I adjust insulin as needed. For the last year I have been pretty much in automatic and have not had to adjust much. But that is me.

Just remember...YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Thats awesome that we have the same pump! It works great and i still am finding out little tricks and things on it :) Good luck on getting your numbers more regulated, it takes a lil bit to get them consistent but im sure you will !
School is going good, just keeping me busy. I am in nursing school so we have class and clinical rotations at the hospital. Im loving it! How about you are you in school?
Hope that you have a great day! :)

You are very welcome for the TKD advice. I don't have any recollection of you having gone overboard either. Lots of books/doctors suggest unplugging the gizmos too but I think that's because they don't entirely know what they are talking about? It sounds like you do though, which is good if you are off to medical school!

Congratulations for your constantly dropping A1c! And for getting approved for a pump! ^_^

Yeah, it sucks if you work hard and the A1c doesn't show it immediately... But don't let yourself be discouraged by that!

You painted beautiful pictures, by the way! : )

Dear Asma!

Cute picture! ^_~ And congrats for your A1c drop! : ) Every point counts. But checking again after 3 weeks is quite a short time! I am checked every 3 month ; ) I held mine, and I'm very happy about that. It's good to hear that your eye problems are not severe! I hope they'll get better again!!! Luckily, I haven't got any complications yet, though I've already been a diabetic for 16 years now. But I didn't check my eyes this year... I finished university, moved 2 times and couldn't get a date before christmas. It's my first thing to do next year!

I wish you a very nice christmas time, if you celebrate it!

All the best, Astrid.
