Ive had lamb several times...it is actually good =)
We celebrate Thanksgiving the day after tomorrow...we will be waking up early to cook up a feast.. turkeys are most popular on this holiday though...
These are the days I wish Im not diabetic =( Oh well...
Hi Asma,
I am hanging in there. Blood sugars not great but not awful either through all this blood stuff. Running average around 180. Could be worse. Thanks for all the well wishes! Happy Thanksgiving!
Haha! That I can understand...not many people likes tea. I think I appreciated tea more when I got older. Before I also mix some lemon and honey...
Oh...I didnt even know that there are two Eids... Im a Catholic...and Catholics also fast during Holy Week...I also have a free pass on those day =)
You sacrifice sheep? What do you do with them?
Maybe because a lot female Asians love taking tea...ginseng and white tea for me =) They say it makes skin looks glowing...
Really??? Only boys have PE there? None for the females? Now what do you the girls do for extra curricular activities?
I learned to forgive my father a long time ago...I have not seen him since. My Mom was a super woman for me of raising and educating both my sister and I.
oh yes...I heard about the Eid holiday... end of Ramadan? How do you celebrate it? Do you also fast...Im just curious since you are diabetic...
Oh Im still farther away from nursing homes... I turned 35 last October 11th. My Mom is not even in one yet and she is 60. She is very strong...and stubborn! LOL
Yeah weird indeed...highschool was stressful then to me too...lots of "firsts" that happened to me and experiences. Both fun and devastating. Fun because I gained so many friends...was into sports, not to mention boys and parties! Ha! However, It is also highschool when my father left us for another =( There will come a time when you will be an adult...you will look back at highschool and smile =)
Cataracts are easy "fix" nowadays...so do not worry. At least it was caught early...just make sure that when it starts to bother you...you tell your doctor, okay?
Hugs my dear lovely friend Asma...stay strong and confident. Ill always be here =)
ps...study well =)
I actually didn't remember that you had your name as Saya until you mentioned it. Shows how good at names I am. I do remember you are my only friend on TU from Saudi Arabia.
I am very happy to hear you have at least some hypo seneing ability. As you know it is very scary to have no idea you have a problem then wake up to a mess of one kind or another. I have done a lot of things over the years but I haven't not taken my insulin. I am scared to death to try it not to mention I feel so bad when I get high that it would be terrible. But I love the thought of no shot/pump for even a day. Glad to hear things are getting a little better. Cheers!
Eh it's pretty good. I just wish I could eat better but lately I've just been eating lots of fast-food and fruits. The cravings are so bad. I was trying to gain weight and I lost weight, so I'm starting to become even more active and try to work out at the gym.
Oh good! Im in Asia too! At least as of for a few more months. Would spend the holidays here though.
Yeah...I remember highschool alright. Stressful indeed...but also fun for most parts =) Dear Lord that was so many many many years ago! LOL Now I feel old LOL
Oh, chemistry is not my best subjects...so as Math! I suck at it. But I loved Science then.
Ah...any improvement on the A1C is an accomplishment! So congratulations! Oh...so sorry to hear about the cataracts (both eyes???) If it is any consolation...my eye doctor also recommended a laser treatment for my eyes too...myopic and astigmatism. Thank God its not retinopathy. But my insurance does not want to cover the procedure...Geesh!
Thanks for the note! Nice to hear from you again. I hope all is well but reading your blog it looks like you have joined the hypo unaware. Welcome to the club. Sorry to have you as a member though. I don't wish it on anyone. I haven't been able to feel lows for a few years and it is getting scary. If a person could always calculate the carbs perfect it wouldn't matter. Anyway, nice hearing from you. Have a great day!
Hey you =) Where on earth have you been? You must have been pretty busy huh? Yep...I have not seen you for awhile now. How is school? Did you get a pump yet?
