I just found out that I am pregnant. I am scared since I have Diabetes and high blod preasure as well. My endo told me that he definetly was against me getting pregnant. But I got pregnant before he said that without knowing. How were your pregnancies? I am also 40 years old...so I am also scared because of my age. It's my first pregnancy. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Melissa We haven't really "met" but I've 'admired you from afar' for the two years since I was fortunate enough to find tuD. I came in after most of your First Baby ordeal and was about neck deep in tax folders when your little man came into your world, but I remember thinking what a Perfect Union he had in you and Kevin.
No big message here - just reading about your work with DHF and wanted to send you good vibes for you continuing success with DHF, with your work and with mommyhood. But mostly I wanted to thank you for your work here at tuD. I think we all land here in a state of mass confusion and terrible worry about the future for us with our wild 'n crazy world and of course our own deadly disease.
While everyone shows love and respect for Manny and his ongoing representation on our behalf, I don't actually remember telling you how you are also appreciated for all that you do around here. And what better time to congratulate someone for her amazing job at tuD than when she is off to better and more influential environs to fulfill her goals of educating everyone about (and with) diabetes. So thanks. Good luck. Give those babies (and the big baby you married) a big, wet, mushy, warm, hug from the crazy Canuck and save some of that warmth for yourself. You've earned it. ~ b.
Hey, was just going through some really old comments on my profile (haven't been on TuD for a long while) and remembered that you were expecting #2? How did everything turn out?? I'm on #2 now. 5 months along- everything is smooth so far. We have the full anatomy scan scheduled for Friday- which also happens to be my daughter's 1st birthday!
Congrats on the baby boy. I have question for you. During pregnancy where did you put your pod? I"m looking at trying my legs but they are very muscular. My A1C is 6.5 and the endo has given us the go ahead for our second. My first was born premature and not due to diabetes complications but I got pre-eclampsia. He was 6 weeks early but has not a thing wrong with him. Thanks for the help.
Congratulations Melissa, he is a beauty, enjoy and try to get some rest! I hope he is a sleepy boy for now and you can have some alone time with your little girl she must be curious! Blessings to all! Amy
