Hello! Happy late birthday and tell Mary happy birthday today for me!! Its good to hear that Mary isnt having much pain anymore. Keepin her blood sugars in good control? awesome! I'm still having some problems... I take care of it, but not 100%. My depression is still getting in the way. :[
I feel the same...the only thing predictable about T1 is that it is unpredictable! Just hooked up the mySentry...so far so good! More details tomorrow!
Hey Kellee! How are you? I hope you had good holidays! Mine were pretty good as well. I got to be with a lot of family that I haven't seen in a while. It was really nice. Plus I ate so much I thought I was going to explode!!! Hows Mary doing today? I hope she is doing alright & I hope she enjoyed her holidays! Did Santa come? :] Give me an update of how everything is going!
Wow... I can't believe you are doing all of that while trying to manage your children's health. You are one amazing woman!! They told me I had thyroid issues about a year and a half ago, but I guess I don't anymore. Kinda weird. I hope Mary will be okay. She's got me worrying over here!! She's too young to be dealing with some of the same things I am. Is she dealing with these issues well?
I'm doing alright. I am unfortunately in a lot of pain, but what can I do? I'm trying to manage it all in my head and I'm getting close to my breaking point. I just got an apartment with my boyfriend yesterday so along with that come a little stress. I hope everything works out.
Yikes!!! I hope things with Mary start looking better. Shes having some odd symptoms huh? Have they said anything about the pigment discoloration? Please keep me updated. Thanks for your love and support. I really appreciate it.
Hello!!! I just returned from the Mayo Clinic this past Tuesday night. We were supposed to come home last Friday, but there were a lot more tests that they had to do so I sadly had to stay. I'm just glad that it is over with!! I was sooo happy to be home... Some of the tests were not very pleasant. It was very hard on me physically and emotionally. The out come is that I have Autonomic Neuropathy due to my diabetes. The good news is that we discovered that one of my medications that I take for sleep caused my gastroparisis. So I no longer have that issue!! One less thing to cross off of my list! the only things I am worrying about now is keeping my diabetes under control and dealing with the extreme pains of my neuropathy. The clinic suggested an impatient Pain Management Program. Thats another 3 weeks that I would have to spend in Mayo Clinic. I'm still waiting on some tests results so I will let you know of any updates. How is Mary doing? Well i hope. Much love
I am so glad that ya got it and it is working out.. yes, I find it is always innacurate til day 3.. hence the consistent checks I do with meter.. but, it is a good way to check what is going on and give you an idea..I am glad she is liking it and can manage better..Did you get the monitor for her at night.. it will make your life easier.. and my friend told me that she has a monitor with a camera so she can see her daughter.. which to me is great, because sometimes you might not hear anything but she may be sick or what not and not able to speak or whatever and you might be able to help her faster.. just an idea ;)...well, if you need any further advice just let me know.. so glad to hear of success..
Hello :] Yikes... That's no good that Mary is having pains. You know, it may be nerve pain? I'm starting to think she is experiencing what I am. Its on and off pain and no matter what blood tests or physicals I have, nothing ever comes up as to why I am in pain at all! Hope she feels better soon. My prayers are with her and your family :]
Hello MarysMom! Welcome to the Accu-Chek users group. I'm Rob Muller, and I work for Roche. This user group is a great resource filled with very helpful folks. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
Have a good day.
I am doing well. We have probably decided on going with the minimed pump since we don't feel that omnipod offers good support. I may only be going on it in January as during the Christmas break trainers leave on holiday and we need 4-6 weeks for the training and my husband is going away in November for 1 week so that is not a good time as well in case of emergency he is the only other person who gives my son his shot.
Hope all is well with you and Mary. Ps...What is your first name (I always call you Marysmom).
I'm glad that she is loving the new pump! That's great to hear! I would assume that the pains are due to high blood sugars, but ya never know. She feels okay when her numbers are good right? I have my numbers in check and I am still in pain! :[ But thats why I'm going to Mayo clinic in less than 2 weeks!!

Kate's dx was Dec. 20, 2010 so we are only one year into this battle. How long have you all been dealing with T1?
