Had my first trip with the new TSA screening process this week. The new pat down found my continuous blood glucose monitor sensor on my stomach. The agents didn't know what to make of it and sent me through another screening.

I'm lucky if I get 150 in per week, so I have to make them all count. Between work and kids, it's tough. As a matter of fact, I should be racing a MTB race here this morning, but I'm home instead with a child that has a 101-degree fever....

On this morning's ride it was 45. We get in the mid-60s during the day, but if I don't train in the early morning, I have a hard time getting a ride in during the day.

7,900 miles-- wow! That's serious mileage. And commuting in the 20s is heroic. I stop riding outside at freezing.
