How's it all going? Do you have any questions or comments?
Hi Jenn---Happy to get to know you!.....Check out the group, Diabetes Plus for members with multiple Yukky Stuff to cope with. My last post about Fibro is in a discussion called Invisible Illness Week. I was on amitryptiline for about a year in 1996-97. When I realized all they could do was treat symptoms, I decided I could do that myself. I take a number of supplements, herbal teas and tinctures. It is worth noting, I think, that when I went very lo-carb in my eating after being diagnosed with The D, many of my fibro symptoms improved. Figuring out a tolerable way to exercise in spite of it is also key. Oh--and you can click on Forums above and Search Fibromyalgia and find discussions where it is mentioned.....
Your pictures are beautiful---all those lovely Beings!
Hey no worries about not getting back to me right away. I was in college not too long ago, so I know what it is like to be busy. Thanks for writing back. I go to an Assemblies of God church and I love it. God has done so much for me, it's awesome!!! What kind of church do you go to? I have since last communicating with you, told people about my diabetes. Their response was, "Oh my gosh, that must be hard for you. Anything I can do?" So it's been good sharing with others. Some want to know how the pump works, etc. I guess we have to pick and choose who we share our diabetes with, cause these people who understood were members of my church. Well, I best not keep you. I wish you well in your studies and will keep you in my prayers. Write when you can.
I too have a great church family and an understanding mom. I guess I try to hide the diabetes and I need not to do it anyomre. And you're right people fear what they don't know. I would love to get to know you as well. Maybe we could eiither communicate through this site or we can exchange emails. Any way is good for me: myoutback70@gmail.com Looking forward to hearing more from you!!!
Welcome!!! I too find that others don't understand me or my diabetes. I have people just kind of blow me off when I try to explain it to them. Like when I shared that I was getting a pump, they were like oh big deal, not at all interested that I was getting one. I have people also offer me sugary food when they know I can't have it and don't want it. I feel often isolated too. How about you? I understand and I am here for you!!!
