We definitely need help! I've been highlighting The Diabetic Athlete's Handbook, but you can tell we don't have this figured out. This is our first challenge since diagnosis. It's funny about an egg & cheese sandwich: I was looking for something that would be long-lasting! Like yesterday, Sam was on the softball field from 12-6 in the heat. We did ok with that. Field hockey is worrying me. The suggestion to lower Lantus before is probably really good, plus some kind of light meal or drink. Didn't realize abt the mac & cheese & ice cream not being great to pull her out of it. At that point, we were trying anything & you could tell she felt awful.

I am already on Humalog. I just hate that I have to be on Humalog, humalin, AND Lantus. Like, why 3 insulins. Why not just cut the humalin out? Humalin sucks!!!

Sorry, I'm still figuring out how to navigate this site. I posted a comment on your comment wall or whatever, but I meant to do it here. Anyway, thanks so much (again) for the great advice.
