Hi A- Thanks for the friend add. You will get a lot out of being here. Also, glad you joined "Pets and People." We all enjoy our pets. My kitties are 4and 5 yrs. A (m) Zorro and (f) Maggie. We really enjoy them. They were adopted from a no-kill shelter almost 2 years ago. Have a great day tomorrow !!!

even though it says "children with diabetes" they are welcoming all - if you're not far from there, I know it would be a great chance to meet lots of our members. I would definitely go if I lived there.

Yikes!! that was hard to type ha ha!!
I have been type 1 since 1959 and still feel great, no complications fingers crossed.
By eating minimal and low carb I fully expect to outlive every normal person I know, and yes, that is funny. Be well, and ask anything at all.

Hi A- Glad to hear you are a cat lover too. You might want to join the group "Pets and People" it is for animal lovers of all kinds. This really is a terrific site, I have been a member for just over a year and I have learned more from the members than from any doc that I have seen in the 12 years I have been a D. Like lotsofshots says we are all here to help each other with any aspect of D life. Glad you are here !!!
