Hi Hon....I have to go Thursday and have an injection into my left eyeball to stop some bleeding, and my right eye has still not cleared from the last hemorrhage, I believe I will have to go Friday as well and have some very intense Laser zaps. I will not be able to participate with the Skype/discussion. I am very sorry Honey. Maybe next time? xo
Hey Lora - Tues/Fri (not the 14th) would be fine. Not sure about the 5:30 time for some of your other participants - if they work from home like I do - that's fine - but if they commute to workplace - could be a problem. Keep me posted - I'll come back to check at Tudiabetes more often or you can send me a PM at my Gmail address that I've sent to you. Okay?
Let me know what I need to do....Having eye appt on the 13th possible laser surgery again, so my vision is kind of shaking afterwards. Give me details Honey, and I will let you know. Have a good day xo
Sounds good what you have planned on Skype! I work from home - so I'm pretty flexible with my "time" ! Keep me updated - and hopefully I can help you out!
Hi Lora,
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you for a few weeks now. I had been receiving so many messages on my email that I set up very stringent notification criteria on my account. So I didn't realize I had a message from you. I will log in more frequently. Are you stil interested in participants for your research? If so, I'd be happy to help.
Hi Lora - thanks for the friends invite here at Tudiabetes (which I of course accepted). PM me here at Tudiabetes with more of your request for the survey you are doing. Still scratching my head over this award business from Tudiabetes - I am as inactive as a snail IMHO - Brad deserves the full award for what he does (I'd be a pile of mush after a few kms of running).

This is a busy time of year for me Lora.... I'm a taxwriter by trade and have accounting clients coming in already with their year end documents. I love tuD and will hang around as much as I can to keep an eye on "my peeps" but I wouldn't want to commit to a focus group and then have to be absent too much. I'm already in a rather time-consuming Diabetes/Diet virtual trial and not keeping up with that very well. If you're still compiling information and recruiting people in May, let me know!
Thank you for the friend invite. I am very honored in receiving the award, thanks. Give me some more info. and I will let you know, I would love to help in any way possible. xo
Thanks for that copy of the clip. Although, I did spot a typo on the second-to-last line where it should have said that I am NOT able to exercise unsupervised (or something similar to that).
I should have caught that when I proofread that before posting. Darn!
I am flattered that you would want to use part of my post(s) but I wonder why. I am not technical but very emotional and wonder what good this will do in a research paper. Go ahead and use what you need. It would be nice to see the final segment of your paper and evaluate the context in which you use the blog segment.
As indicated by some others you have asked, I am here to talk any time you wish ... even if it has nothing to do with diabetes. Of course, I may take a while to check my mail since I am in rehab right now and experiencing more health problems.

Lora,
Go right ahead and use either or both posts. Just tell me - are they examples of effective communication or poor communication? :)

Laura, that sounds like an invitaitn to do my disseration. LOL. Of course, I am an APA 6 novice, but I am hiring someone to to do formating for me and since I am working with a group to do my stats, I think it is now all up to me. I hate that.
Thanks for the offer, if I can do anything for you, please also let me know. Unfortunately, if you are relying on me, we are both in trouble. On the other hand, I am a great perosn to compalin too, while you are doing your dissertation. So, if you need anything let me know.
I am an education major at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. My Specialty is organizational leadership and my specialty is school business management. This is my fourth year, and I am nearly finished with my course work, but I am in no rush to finish. Since I don't work anymore, I am really just doing to keep my mind active, and to fulfill a lifelong ambition to complete a doctorate. Since I am not doing cutting edge research or trying to save the world, I am really just having fun.
I have been type 1 for 35 years, and a few years ago was diagnosed with RA. Its the Ra that caused me to be unable to work. But after living with type 1 for many years and living with my mother also a type 1 for several years, I am very interested in any issue that affects our community.
