Our Annual Campaign is coming!

Would you consider helping by writing a short comment/testimonial about your
experiences at TuD? The main message for the campaign this year is that no
one with diabetes should ever feel alone. Messages from our community give
people a real-life, personal sense of how valuable TuDiabetes is to each of
us, how it's changed our lives, etc.

If you can, please include a photo of you doing something diabetic (if that
makes sense LOL). Please post to this group
(http://www.tudiabetes.org/group/why-i-participate-in-this-community), or
message to jrtpup on her page.

Thanks my friends!

Actually, the article in "O" is titled Dogs4Diabetics. It was in the April 2012 issue.

Mary - There is a blog today by Laura K from Sanofi- Aventis. She highlights an article in a recent "O" magazine. It is about service dogs for diabetics. It might be useful for you to check out the blog. Just click "Blogs" at the top of your page in the banner.

Hi Mary- Thanks for the friend add. Yours is something of a sad story. Thank heavens for your dog. A few of our members have detector dogs, perhaps they can help you. If you have any questions, just stop by my page. I am animal lover.

Welcome to the family!! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of what you will learn is that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and vent to, if needed.

Hello! Thank you for having me as a friend Mary...
California...so far away, and yet right here! That's one of the appealing factors of tu.diabetes. I'm in Canada...in the southwestern part of the province of Ontario...a city named Kitchener-Waterloo (2 cities joined together). I'm a wife of 33 years, mom to two grown children, a grandma to 3 lovable little boys, a teacher, and before that an illustrator and graphic designer....I speak French and English, I read, history fascinates me, I paint, sing, walk, garden, ski, ride my bike....did I mention "read"? I love having friends over, I bake/cook, am an eclectic music lover, an animal lover...the ocean...ah the ocean...it speaks to me! Oh...and I have diabetes (and a few other things).
Keep in touch, ok?
Luv....linda

Welcome home Mary!
Holy Moley...to have type 1 diabetes for ever a decade and not know it!!!!
This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups".
Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.

Hope you find the support and information you came looking for.

Take care....and keep in touch!
