Greetings, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ken.....
Best Wishes on your Special Day....and on the next 364 days!
How's it all going? Do you have any questions or comments?
It's great that you are so proud of your country, as you should be! It's interesting also how everyone thinks their own country is the best in the world.

welcome to MY home sweet home :)
There are many pics of Canada there (but not enough to paint the whole picture)...and all with captions.

Aw Ken...don't give up...you're (we're) not the only weird one(s) out there lol!!! You'll find someone who completes you...and you she! We're out there...the odd ones! I was different from way back...as a young child, I used to try different style of cursive writing till I found the style I liked...which nine y.o. does that???
And...are you ready....certain sounds I hear...I see a colour associated to it. No one I know experiences that...so I pretty much keep that on the QT!!
Back at ya!!
Wow Ken...tigers are such splendid creature! To top that...perhaps a White Tiger!! Having to choose a cat breed has got to be an epitome. There are SO SO many "stop-in-your-tracks" gorgeous breeds out there. You know...I too have this mania of counting things...was worse as a child! How many sidewalk squares to school...or to the library etc = how many sidewalk cracks. How many tiles on the floor...how many... how many! Then that became replaced with making other words with the words available in say...a company name on the back of a truck or side of a building as I patiently wait at a red light!!
There are quite a few Lindas on tu (likely only one gauvin-miller though, I'm willing to bet!!)...unfortunately, the name dates us...as most Lindas are of a '50's vintage!!
I remember in grade 5...we numbered 7 in the class...and that was in Québec...which is mostly French!!
Well...I can truly relate about the coughs....asthma mingled with the little bit that's left of a lung infection, and the blasted cough just wont go away!! Sounds like I'm dying every time I cough!! I'm sure I'm scaring people lol.
Here too...I feel the same way about cats....always have. Yes, love some dogs, we even kept our daughter's wee black poodle when she downsized to an apartment after a nasty divorce, because the little dog couldn't adapt...he became paralyzed at 2 1/2 years and we had to have him put to sleep. And I DID become very fond of him....he grew on me.He was so cute...looked like a little lamb!! My daughter and I cried buckets when he died. But it's different with cats....I bond to all cats instantly! Meeko...our last cat, was a grey Tabby. She lived to be 15, and we had to have her put down as she had cancer and it had traveled to her brain....heart wrenching (this 2 months before taking in Taylor the wee Poodle)...I sure I lost weight in tears when Meeko went, both our son (another cat lover) and I were inconsolable. I'm allergic to cats....found out after Jeremy, our Blue Point Siamese. Jeremy was part of our lives before the children came along....a furry child! We opted for a cat as a pet for the children when they were little, as until then we had always had hamsters for them...they're so darn cute, but their life expectancy is only about 4 years if you're lucky...and of course every time one died...I was a mess! We decided to go for a larger pet, but had to get our son tested first as he had asthma and several allergies...the results showed an allergy to dogs, but he was fine with cats (that changed when he got older!!)...so, though I was allergic to cats, we decided to get one anyway...it just wouldn't come in my bedroom. Later...much later, I developed asthma due to the cat!
So, when Meeko died...it was no more cats for us (I'm good...for now!!!). Presently, we have no pets at all (sniff!!) Hopefully that will change. I'm thinking of a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle....black of course!
But I will always maintain that cats rule and dogs drool!!
Ken I love her more than I do my g-kids (sometimes lol) She's 85 and vewry STUBBORN!! My husband and I (along with my kids) have tried to get her to go to the dr for like 10 years now. Her answer "NO WON'T GO" She wants to live in the house her and my g-father built back in the 50's by herself. She just flustrates the crap out of me sometimes. But I still love her!
Your welcome for the b-day wish! Hope it was a great one!
Ken....please refresh my aging memory as to where I left the comment you quoted.
Indeed...it's good to have a place to vent, but thus said....it offers us the opportunity to return to positive comments....everything in balance ;)
LOVE your photos!
