Hi Gerri! Here I thought maybe we swam in different circles and now I find you're not even in the pool! Hoping all is well (or as ok as possible) in your neck of the woods - where ever that is! and wanted you to know I'm thinking about you (and no, I did NOT wake up screaming . . . again) Just a quickie from .... Miss N. Yew
Oh I know that feeling. I am so glad that you are feeling better today. I am doing okay. My doctor said that I am recovering well from the surgery last month. They were able to take out all of the tumors this time and not leave any of it behind. A few days ago I got a scare. I woke up and I could not move. I was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down for two days. Doctor don't know why.
LOL Gerri! Thanks for the smile. For sure, if you find out who to complain to about being given multiple diseases/conditions, I'll be standing next to you in line. I know Diabetes is usually difficult to manage with Gastro and Hypothyroidism has so many symptoms they could write 10 books. Ridiculous!
RA has wrecked many things in my Life and these darn drugs just don't work. I'm not alone there. I do appreciate the good things and Special People that are in my Life. We've just got to keep fighting back, eh Gerri?
Years ago, one of my friends(a Nurse)kiddingly told my Hubby that he was "damaged goods" after he hurt his back. Well, I shot back: So, I came with "manufacturing defects". We all had a Good laugh and sometimes bring that one up cuz it makes us smile. :)
No our Daughter can't go back to her apt yet. They did escort Tenants in just to pick a few things up. She is now staying with us which is fine. She brought her little froggies also. :) That's what I said. At least she was wearing something that night. Ha!
Hopefully you have found something interesting and enjoyable to do this beautiful week-end. :)
I put my print on "My 50th Year with Diabetes discussion". It didn't come out the way i wanted...but good enough. Actually it isn't a medal. :)
Sorry that you are having trouble with the Hypothyroidism and Gastroparesis. I've heard that they can be a hair-puller alright. I am having the same problem with my RA. Nothing but pain mostly everyday. I am getting a Medrol injection this month cuz I refuse to spend our vacation in July feeling tired and sore. I am wishing for a cure for all of our inflictions. And it better be soon. ;/ I particularly wish you a Better day and week-end Hon.
Our Daughter called this morning saying that there was a fire at 3 am in her apt. building and they were put up in a hotel until they are allowed back in the building. Lordy! She only had her pjs on. I hope Mom doesn't see that fire on the news.
I missed you and many others. I think it was you who asked me to post a photo of my medal when I received it?? I think it was you.
Anyways, it arrived a while ago so since I have some time I thought I'd put it on...if you're still interestted. I think I've forgotten how to post a photo on a discussion. I'll do my best. I hope that you are Healthy and Happy. LOL! Of course you are. Wow! on your Wonderful A1c.
