Hello,I would want to share about my NGO.
I am currently a chairperson of newly created NGO "Georgian Union of Patients with Diabetes" The Union has been founded in May, 2011 with the initiative of people suffering from diabetes- uniting Georgians (and not only) with diabetes and their family members (since 1988 I have had type 1 diabetes). Union is non-profit organization focusing on diabetes management, protecting the social and health rights access in the society, provides them currently education program known as "Diabetic School" for free. You might know that there are main problems of healthcare and cure of diabetes in Georgia, Since 1996 patients receive insulin for free. For the necessary equipment (syringes, self-control equipment, test-strips etc.) and medications for the treatment and prevention of late complications patients have to pay partly themselves.
Average net salary per month is 300 GEL (120 EUR)
Average pension is 80 GEL (35EUR). of Gorn Union of patienys with Diabetes.
As you see there is difficult situation about healthcare system in Georgia, with my enthusiasm and with the biggest wishes to help them, I wanted to change that hard condition in my country
As newly Organization any type of assistance is very im[portant to us! If you have any kind of idea how to give voice to International and non-goveermental Organizations that exist such type of Union wich would want to help patients with Diabetes in Georgia?!
Yours sincerely,
Natali

To me Google has not argued sufficiently against the creation of a Doodle related to World Diabetes Day. The product manager that was involved in the discussion clearly had no clue. In the mean time her project eHealth has been scrapped by Google. We should seek contact to other Google representatives to make our standpoint clear. It is World Diabetes Day after all - a day recognized by the UN. Just take a look at the 2011 doodles. I find it quite absurd that WDD is not part of that collection. How can we increase the pressure? Should we write 20.000 individual eMails to proposals@google.com?

Hi Manny, it seems that the link for the petition for the google doodle is dead: www.diabetesdoodle.com. I still think that this is important for global awareness. What can we do about it? Holger

Hallo Manny, Best Wishes to you and to all TuDiabetics in 2012. I have now had a CGM for one month which led me to think how lucky we all are with the extraordinary advances seen in detecting and measuring glucose thu' the ages. I have written a short piece(some 30 lines at present) which I thoughgt might be appreciated on TD. It is mostly about the technical ways that assays and equipment has advanced but wonder if you have a system of Peer Review or editorial function as I would not wish to get TD in trouble or even sued! Hi Manny!

I don't know how, but I stumbled across this site a few weeks back, and joined right away. I think I was googling something about sugar levels, and was originally looking for scholarly articles, but was happy to find this instead! Anyway, I'm looking at connecting with other diabetics in my area and showing them this site. Do you have any promotional material that I can use to post in my endo's offices? It would really help. Let me know, and have an awesome Tuesday!

Oh Oh!!!! You forgot a "s" at the end of "dans" but your french is good!!!!!!!! Did you got the time to see the highest building of the world in Dubai? I really like skyscrappers (gratte-ciel) and here in my town there are not very high buildings. In 2013 or 2014 our mayor will build a building of ... 32 floors!
