Thanks Manny! It is great to be connected. I just watched your Keynote at Innovation Day. It will be good for me to be more connected to others in the D world.
Hi Manny, I been foloowing your site(s) for about a year and really enjoy them. I will recieve my 50 year Type One Medal from Joslin on December 20, 2012 and have also qualified to run the Boston Marathon on Team Joslin. See this link to follow my progress and contribute if you wish. http://www.crowdrise.com/JoslinDiabetesCenter2013/fundraiser/michaelfrederick
I really enjoyed your speech Manny. As you already know this site has had a major impact on how I treat myself and how I view the world as a PWD. I'm not sure I know another place I can chat about how to cook tofu noodles with a Japanese woman and then discuss the blood sugar consequences a few hours later, or the "good old days" of clinitest urine kits with people who shared the "good old days". I am truly grateful to have stumbled on this site and hope with a bit more "advertising?" others will be made aware and not have to stumble on it like I did.
THAT IS GREAT MANNY. I THINK I READ HE WAS TRANSFERRED FROM THE HOSPITAL TO SPAULDING REHAB...ANOTHER GREAT PLACE. BEING FROM MA I READ THE BOSTON PAPERS ONLINE. THIS IS SO THOUGHTFUL OF YOU MANNY. REED
I think between my home in Southborough and my work in Marlborough my team and I managed to log a lot of BBT's. I really couldn't think of an easier, less painful way to give back than to hit a few keystokes on the computer. My only disappointment was not being able to log # 20000, but I figured I had logged a bunch of other numbers so no big deal. Cosmo is ready for our morning walk just another BBT to log on the computer. I'm getting an early start this year.
Good Morning,Manny. I was up at 5 ready to do my duties and saw your message abd link. I watched the video and it was very well done. I am so honored that you used my story. Side note. Mayor Mennino of Boston has been in the hospital with all kinds of problems. They announced yesterday he has Type 2 Diabetes, I hope all my friends look at the video. It is very well done. Kindest regards,Reed

I thought it was so cute that she came up with that..by the way she also said ur true hair color couldn't be blue "cause nobody has blue hair unless they color it that" lol
Manny, thanks so very much for taking the opportunity to sit down and talk to us about the Diabetes Hands Foundation. What a wonderful story to share on Discuss Diabetes! Best, Laura K
I am seeing Neha Rickson at http://www.floridaendocrine.com. I really like them so far. Who did you see here?
I was diagnosed with type 2 by my family dr and put on metformin. Come to find out I was diagnosed with Type 1 a week ago today. I'm still pouting a bit over the shots and my new diet. Dealing though! :)
