Hey T1s!!! Whether you were diagnosed back in the day when it was "Juvenile Diabetes;" you are a newly diagnosed college freshman; or you were diagnosed well into your second career, the reality is that 85% of those living with type 1 diabetes are over 18!
Without diabetes camps, it's hard to meet other adults living with T1D with whom you can share information, ask questions, and get support.
That's why Beer & Basals is for You!
Beer & Basals is a casual gathering for adults with T1D who want to get to know others living with T1D and expand their circle of support. Beer & Basals will be hosted by Carb DM volunteers Breanne Harris and Katie Craft.
Our first meeting is coming up on Monday, February 27, 7 - 9 pm. Join us at Crepevine in Palo Alto (367 University Ave)! Hope to see you there!

I have been studying Chinese a little in the past, but didn't learn much really, so now I'm going to try it again. Unfortunately I have to say that my husband and I are facing a divorce :'( But we do so as friends!
I love Chinese, especially Suzhou dialect which my husband and his family speaks. After hearing Suzhou dialect, mandarin sounds pretty harsh in the ears haha

Whoops -- sorry about that! You can write on my wall now, or email me. :)
I only know a little Chinese, even though I've been together with a Chinese native speaker for almost 5 years and visited China 3 times. Going to study it again next semester though, if I just enroll at the course.
Sure. I'm curious too because I also use pens. Takes a while to go through them, but there's always the chance that if what you're experiencing has to do with a bad pen, it could happen to me as well...

That's annoying. Never heard of a "bad pen," but now I guess I'm aware that it can happen. Hope things go better with the new pen... Keep us updated!

Hi DanK -- did you find out what was causing swelling at the injection site?
Mr.Mip used to put you in a commercial ins company, but in a special segment. Thats how it is post as well. in the 80s my folks paid 1k a month for my ins. when I finally got on MrMip it dropped to 300. There is a waiting list I believe now. But it should cover a pump and what not. They (isn co.) are seeming things like that as a needed part of care.
