Good Morning,Kathy. I have not heard from you in three days. PLEASE do not tell me you have had a relapse. I really worry when I do not hear. Did you ever get the drawer for the COUMADAn. I know you were mad as a hornet. Heavy for here turns to sun and 80 too much for January. I slept until 7:30 so that is a good sign. Take good care of yourself. Keep warm let me know what is going on. HUGS,Reed
Hello Kathy. How are things with you? Did you ever get your COUMADAN test? I went to drug store 2 items doctoir had not called in yet? Wht don;t they answer the fax when they get it. Now I have to make another trip. Russ's nose came out great. He has to shave it. The surgeon said the hair roots will die but for now when you shave shave your nose LOL. Can you believe it is 80 degrees here? This weather is crazy. Tom is here so Reed;s Diner is open. Made a nice meat loaf last night.I bought WHISKERS TREATS for Chico. He comes in the house ignores us goes to the counter where I have them sits stares meows until I give him some. Have you been out and about? Be careful. I do not want you to get this stuff that is going around. Boston declared a state of emergency. Take good care keep warm drink fluids. HUGS,Reed
Hi Kathy, OMG, I read your note on Reed's page about the blood draws. You must be livid. I had a ton of blood draws too and sometime last week I had about twenty tests taken, no kidding. Then I got a letter saying that I need to change providers and go outside the military. I am so happy because really the military is awful. I will see my new doctor on Monday. He is my son's doctor, so we already know him, so all should be good. I am finally feeling a bit like my old self again, only better. Thanks to all that medical abuse I lost over 20 pounds and counting. I went through my closet and found a bunch of my skinny clothes and guess what? They fit! Now I have a free new wardrobe. I hope you are feeling bettter. I am so happy that you are feeling good enough to write on Reed's page so we know what is up with you. I am back at work and that is going really well. Just have to go to bed about 830 every night to be functioning for the next morning. TGIF tomorrow. It is nice here, not cold with a coat and gloves on. I started to walk again. I get out of the car right after work and walk around the neighborhood. They finally put a new bench by the little lake behind my apartment. Now I can go sit on that and pant a while after the walk. Miss you a lot. Feel better soon. Lots.
Good evening,Kathy. Busy day. It rained and I thought a lot would stay home we had 30 plus a visitor from NC. I gained a pound. Russ said that removing the stitches was terrible really hurt. Nose looks good goes back in a month. Been getting thingsz together for some legal work. I was s tired we had scrambled eggs with pre-cooked bacon cut up. Tom has a new office and his name on the door. He feels like a kid in the toy store. He has worked hard. Did you get the blood draw found or do you have to go again? ometimes Russ goes in a week sometime a month he sees the gal for the draw on the 17th. What have you been up too today? Tomorrow I must do laundry. Have a good evening. HUGS,Reed
Hello Kathy. Busy day. Things are looking up. Russ slept right through the night without getting up and I did too. He has been polishing things decorating. I have been busy typing last week's TOPS minutes...Secretary out AGAIN and doing the Agenda. Just got an email from Tom and a copy of the letter. The Dean is recommending Tom for a full Professorship. He is on Cloud 9. Not a very pleasant day weatherwise. Dark and dreary. It is so good to see Russ more like himself. He gets the stitches out tomorrow afternoon. How are things with you? Did you go out today? We are so lazy we did not even go for the mail. Nothing like ordering in advance...Tom wants my Meatloaf Thursday night. Take good care of yourself and keep warm. Russ has started reading his nbig pile of books. HUGS,Reed
HI Kathy- Sounds like you are back in the groove of doing various activities, like movies and shopping. When I see the weather for Minneapolis I think of you, it really does get cold in your area. Here we are having a week of Spring. Temps to be in the 50's most of the week. How are you feeling ? I hope well. Take care and don't slip on the ice. Cat ( Susan )
Hello Kathy. Not feeling aces today. Coughing a little and have a big head. I think that might mean rain. Poor Russ wandered all night and does not remember it. Still coughing his head off. I told him to call the doctor but you know the old saying you can lead a horse to water... He thinks when stitches out on Wed and he is off the antibiotics he will be better. Dark and dreary here. Thank the good lord we are out of the Christmas mode for another year. Gosh we have stuff. Tom back to work. We will not see him until Thursday. They are redoing his office and he says it is a mess. Take good care of yourself and in you go out dress warmly. Big Hug,Reed
Hey Kiddo....calamine lotion is great for itching...when going to bed. Other than than....from the days of our daughter's allergic reactions/sensitivities take some vit. C. Check it out online. I'll try to get a site...but don't hold your breath. Might just be best if you google "Allergic reactions and vitamin C" and....if I did not comment before....BRAVA on being a featured member!!!
Kathy, thank you for your kind words in responding to my blog. That sounds like what I had when I was in the hospital in 2005, except I didn't react the antibiotics. Was in ICU for a week. They were giving me insulin 2u at a time. I'm type 2 you dumb ass I need more. That kept by BG up until the doctor gave me permission to self medicate. I often forget so many friends on Tu. You being one of them. I really try to make sure that I message Reed every day. I think he needs that. Glad you are home and feeling better. Sparky
Good Morning,Kathy. They had Russ in surgery 2 hours. Tom was in the room with him. They cut they filled in and then stitched. Tom says he looks good. I cannot tell has he came home covered in bandages. He get take the bandage off later today. He has to clean it with peroxinde and put on a salve. He can keep the bandage off BUT if he goes outside put on a band aid. I think I am getting his cold. He is still coughing his head off. I almost forgot quarterly taxes due the 15th..am mailing them today. Dark dreary warm. We still have to take down the tree. I noticed on one of Russ's pills out of stock we owe you 17. Chico snuggled up with Russ yesterday for a 2 hour nap. He is the cutest thing. I hope you dress warm and walk carefully when you go out. It will be good to see Russ's nose job. Take good care. HUGS,Reed
Good Morning Kathy. Warm and rainy here. I have been up since 5. Wrote notes to all my TOPS members wgo gained not to get discouraged. Near Government House where Tom goes there was a book store. The lady was evicted non payment of rent. Tom loaded up brought them to Russ. I think he has about 60 more to read. Russ's proc edure is at 11. I hope the take the flap off fill in the hole and finish it. I hope he does not come out looking like Wallace berry. I hoope, too,he can go back to sleeping on the side he likes. We have now undecorated everything but the live tree. Hopefully, they will get to that this afternoon. I noticed in the Boston Globe online it is 8 degrees. Do you think when things settle down you will go back to the violin? It is good you are getting out BUT be very careful if the sidewalks are slick. I got my $3 cost of living in SS this morning might go on a cruise LOL. Glad you are doing so well. Keep warm and do not overdo. HUGS,Reed
Hey Kathy, Reed updated me on your current situation and I am wishing you the very best. Dam Kathy, I hope your stay at rehab was better than mine. I stayed three days after a new hip and I decided in the first half hour that I was angry and by the second hour I was so angry I was ready to walk away. Sheryl said I had to stay and get released, I was like a little boy demanding to leave. LOL I acted badly. I mean real bad. LOL Sheryl said she might not come pick me up oh my goodness I wanted out of there so bad if I would of had a key to a local school about 1 mile away I would have left and held up in there until I was found on Monday. LOL I told the principal, my friend, she would have found me on the office couch on Monday morning in my hospital robe with ties in the back. LOL
Ok, it was in January and I would not have made it, I would have frozen to death getting there. But I was willing to try. I hope your days have gone better. If not let me know and I will come spring you if you have keys to a local elementary school.
Good Morning Kathy./ Another early morning. Russ still coughing his head off. He has Mucinex and a orescription cough medicine. I hope this will not interfere with his nose work on Thursday as Tom has taken off time from work to take him. Once I wake up I cannot get back to sleep. I feel like I might be getting the cold. TOPS today. I would rather stay home. Did they ever tell you what was wrong that you had to be in the hos[ital?Tom will be here 5 days so Reed better do some menu planning.Every once in a while I get so weary of it all. Russ has been off his COUMADAB for 4 days as he is having surgery. Chico is almost a permanent resident. He is a sweetheart. TOPS is a Rap Session. The Pastor is retiring. I hope the new Pastor does not go up on our rent. Is it still cold there? Tom helped Russ with a lot of undecorating. The main thing now is the ive tree. Take good care of ypitself. If you go out dress warm and be careful of the streets they could be slippery. HUGS,Reed
