I was there when they were filming this for the Does Humor Belong in Music video they put out the next year.. It was fimed over 2 days...
August 25th and 26th 1984 It was shot at The Peir in New York City.. and they took the best performances and put it on the video..
We stayed at the Penta hotel It was first time had ever "been away from home" in any lenghth of time .. Was pretty exciting..
Had always hopes in seeing more of the performances from the concerts, but only one DVD has ever been put out, and that is a shame because there is so much more from the 2 days, that could fill another DVD easily!
Hey, thanks for the comment. I was looking for a group for Minnesota diabetics, and was a little disappointed that I didn't find one (so was also glad that you suggested one for me to join). Anyway, I'm still kinda finding my way around here, so hope to maybe chat atcha again later. Thanks again for the welcome.
I've heard of that knitting group...not a member though. I've had a significant problem with BP lately...crashing..then rocketing sky high. I even had to cancel a planned trip to visit my daughter and her family in Omaha, Ne. Much better now, though. Hope all is well with you.
"my husband is a professional" is a good line, but our favorite line is "I hate myself" which the boss would say when he was enjoying a particularly delicious meal. We've started using it ourselves!
Burial is not common in Japan due to space limitations and custom and tradition and a wide variety of factors. I only know this because my wife's family is Japanese.
I read your post on "Never Taken Lantus"... I had a severe reaction to Lantus too. It put me into insulin shock comas while I was sleeping- about five of them over the course of a few months. Not fun.
The scariest time of my entire life (because I kept almost losing it!) Everyone around, including my doctors, were mad at me because they thought I just wasn't monitoring myself properly. I yelled and forced my doc to take me off Lantus.
When he finally did, he put me on Levemir. It is the same thing as Lantus, but does not have the same issues as Lantus. I inject once per day, and it doesn't have the spikes like with NPH (I used NPH about seven years ago). Not sure if you were interested.
And you are still smiling! Kind of bummer after the first round of laser treatment not allowed to ride a bike or lift anything. After the next round on Friday it will be the same. They did a Ultra Sound of my eye to make sure I didn't have a detached retna which as much as anything I am told is most commonally related to age. Sleep tight Mike
Kathy - I see you are an old timer like me - glad we have survived to benefit some of the new technologies! Your winter masks are down right scarey. My pump has arrived I finally have given in - I see you are still on shots?
We finally got to see "Departures" this afternoon. I can honestly say that this is the first movie in which I openly wept - twice! First was the full dressing seen where they arrived late and the husband snapped at them, but then the Boss transformed the deceased wife before his eyes. The second was during the dressing of the bath house owner.
There were some shortcomings, but I like this movie enormously. Thank you for recommending it.
Thank you for the welcome!...My wife grew up in St. Cloud....
Diagonosed in February 2009...still learning...have made many changes and the A1c is down to 6.6...hope to keep it there or lower it some more...buttttttt i do so love good bread and baked goods....
How are you doing? I am headed to the mountains of North Carolinia right after 7/4. The weather channel reports that the temps are 20 degrees cooler than here. I hope they are right.
Hi Kathy. You are in the over 30 club too!
I am in East Lansing home of the MSU Spartans. I'm a diehard fan.
I'm glad I found this site. Lots of information. I would like to switch from my Medtronic pump to an Omnipod.
