Hi Patti! Thanks for the note! I'm doing well. My blood sugars have been great recently, which makes me happy and it's summer time, which means my life at work is a bit calmer. Hope that you are doing well!
Hi Patti ! (waving) how are you doing ? Great to hear from you : ) Im going to have surgery on the 30th to take out the pins and plate in my right hand when I broke it almost a year ago hurts too much when the weather changes ! On the 23rd of this month it will be 33 years for me with Type 1. Still cant believe it.
Can I retire now ? lol
Patti Thanks for the welcome I am so happy Manny invited me here thru twitter. The stuff i have learned from other diabetics is awesome. My educator asked where the heck are u getting all your info from...so I gave her our info Hpoe she joins...Please add me as a friend and I will do the same ..God Bless
I was diagnosed in March '09 with addison's disease. My endo did a full autoimmune profile on me and my GAD antibodies show up as "3". My a1c was 5.6, which i guess is a little high for normal people. Endo says that I will become type 1 one day, who knows when but to watch my blood sugars. My wife has been type 1 for 9 years so I use her meter about 1x a day.
Thanks for the welcome Patti. I've been looking for information concerning the omnipod which I just started using because it really takes a lot of getting used to and I figured this would be a great place to find out suggestions from what other people are doing. Hope to meet and make lots of new friends on here!
Thanks! I'm a new (3mos) pumper and I'm still learning daily! I hope I can pick up some tips/advice somwhere other than my DE/Endo team! Take Care!! Jonathan
Hey Patti. thanks for your kind welcome! I'm really glad I found this place, I reckon i'll be hanging around here a lot - need all the support can get some daze.
take care ... Al
Hooray! Delighted to hear from you, my friend. It is crazy isn't it? We are growing so fast and one does try to contribute to welcoming folks. I'm seeing new faces doing some welcoming and that will help a lot. And I'm getting the first Portland meet-up organized. It makes it hard to stay in touch with old friends. I've been thinking about setting aside everything else for a weekend soon and just sending quick individual notes to all those friends I am ridiculously out of touch with.....Be well!.....Fondly, Judith
Thanks for thiking of me Patti, thoughtful as always may you abound with blessings. I hope you and your family are well we are doing well. Glad we finally have summer, previous weeks or should I say months we had been experiencing an overabundance of wet weather. But we're finally out of the monsoon and all the vegetation is bright and colorful.....hope you are enjoying good weather also.
