Hi Doris, I just looked at your new computer company on the Web. Did you get a laptop, tablet or desk computer? I guess you have Windows 8 on it. I got a new laptop cheap at Wal-Mart. It had Windows 8 but I am mad because my son came home with a tablet. It is about as big as a book and totally flat. You can dock it and add a little keyboard. I wished I would have known about those. I would have gotten that instead.
How is everything with you and the family? I hope everyone is squared away from all the surgeries. How is your shoulder doing? Did it end up healing and getting better?
I just moved and wasn't quite recovered from the surgery, so it has been a hard move. We are in a townhouse now with more rooms and trying to renovate it. The place is a mess and the painting is messing with my allergies. The weather is great today. I am being very lazy. I should be working on cleaning the place . . . now that I have Windows 8 I have to figure out what a "cloud" is. It is some new thing that the computer does. As soon as I figure how to use one thing they come up with something else. You have a good day. The kids look great, getting big! Lots.

Hi, I have not talked to you forever. I moved and am unpacking and making a big mess. I have been thinking about you, the kids, the grand kids, and your husband. I hope you are having a good start to your summer. I also hope everyone is well. I am doing well now and just have to get stronger. Now that I got out of bed and have been doing housework again, I see how weak my muscles got. Time to get back in shape. What kind of computer did you get? Lots.

Morning Doris D....I was able to find a provider for insulin under Medicare Part B thanks to a member named Betty J. I phoned them. The name is OPTUMRx 1-866-208-7707. They had no problem with my request; however they stated that AFTER June 1st they will no longer take requests for testing supplies. The reason is related to the "July 1st" date. According to the person I spoke to the date has to do with "Competitive Bidding". Anyway...OPTUMRx will continue to provide the insulin for the pump.

Thanks for the kind welcome from all the folks. I Just found the site yesterday when I was looking for Medicare Part B provider for the Novolog I use in my pump. Hurray!!! Thanks to Bettty J I was able to connect with OptumRx at 1-866-208-7707. It was no problem for OptumRx however they did state that after July 1st they would no longer be furnishing diabetic supplies. Does anyone know what's happening July 1st? I've seen it mentioned several times but don't know what it's about.

Thank you Doris I really like this site. Just what I needed to see how others are doing their lives and on insulin and stuff. I've only had this for three years and spent the winter coming out of the honeymood phase. I made it. My numbers are good and steady at this time..

Hi Doris;
This is Gigi60 and I wanted to say thank you for leaving me your comment and to let me know where you live. that was a very nice way to welcome me to the page. I am really so overwhelmed with this whole thing with my husband having type 2 diabetes; but I really shouldn't be since my Mom had diabetes before she passed away from congestive heart failure and we took care of her. Then I have my own health issues to deal with; cancer returned and now I have found out that I also have reh. arthritics on top of every thing else. Going to get through this; because we have to deal with this and will be okay. Again thanks for sending me the message and welcoming me to the group.
