hi doris, I like the name Jacob too. hope you get to see him soon. how is B doing? I assume it was a c-section. sorry I've been fretting over our situation. went to the dentist this morning, he said obviously I am doing all the flossing and waterpic, because my gums look great. (an issue for those with d) anyway, it was $380 and that was with NO xrays. sheesh. we are having a decent day here, low 80s, don't need the air. getting ready to put lovely maple oatmeal breads in the oven.
Oh Doris Ann, congratulations on your new little Jacob. He was a big guy, no? Another person for g'ma to spoil. We are finally getting some relief from the heat - last week was just awful and I was getting really mean and ornery. Better today Give the new baby a big kiss for me!!!
Hi Doris- Congrats on your new g-son, Jacob ( I love the name). I wish you and your family and the new baby all the best. I am leaving on Wed. for CA to see my daughter, sil and g-son. We will be away for a week. Busy packing. Take care. Cat
Good Morning Doris. Thank God I slept last night I was beginning to worry that insomnia cycle was coming back. I went to bed at 11 and the next thing I knew it was 7AM. So happy to hear you a new grandmother again. I love the name Jacob. Do not spoil him. The heat stays with us...going to be 97 today, My BF 104. Hope both you and Ken doing fine. Tom stayed ocer and just left gor home and work I think I will do laundry and that is it. Take good care of yourself and my best to Ken. Hugs,Reed
ok, I've been chatting with some folks on Twitter who are down in Orlando at the Friends for Life conference. that's where my quilt is displayed - I've asked a few to send me pictures of themselves with the quilt. it sounds like they are having fun, and getting in on some lectures and interesting updates on research etc.
hi Doris, I see you're ready to chat! too bad we won't have it this weekend. It's too hot to go out. I did go down to the fairgrounds this morning, we are getting ready for the fair, and also met to sew for quilts of valor. I didn't stay the whole time, dog tired from lack of sleep. anyway, just wanted to tell you
Hello Doris. Isn't this weather miserable. You do not feel like doing anything. I did get the laundry done vacummed the rugs dry mobbed the hardwood floors. They are trimming my palm trees what a racket. The HOA makes us do them once a year in July $18 a tree. My BG 98 not eating much. Tom comes tonight so Reed's Diner will be open. You and Ken feeling better? You a new Grandmother yet? Take good care and keep cool. HUGS,Reed
I thought I saw you! so you went to your favorite place again, but the AC in the car was out? we used to call that 4-60 AC, 4 windows down, 60 mph. we managed to get through all the fireworks without any mishaps. Ed made some contraption to make his fireworks better, one was made with part of a broken Swiffer handle I was throwing away. he was looking for the right angle to shoot the bottle rockets so the echo off the lake would make it sound like 2. he's very creative. my mother's phone is still not working. going for a walk now. tell me what happened on your trip.
Hello Doris. You home yet? I hope you had a good time. The weather has been brutal. We had a cookout on the 4th. Tom was grilling on the deck and the temperature was 102 degrees. We ate in the house with the A/C. Today cleaning up putting things away and I did a big Laundry. BG 112 as I ate things I should not. Millions still withoit power NC VA DC. How is Ken? I hope he is doing well. How are you doing?Do you mind the heat? Take good care both of you and have a good evening. HUGS,Ree
More "stuff"!! How's the weather at your end...hot and muggy here...was going to weed after the brief shower we had here yesterday....but the air was very thick....and my back still recuperating from having washed the kitchen floor 3x over on all fours (the old fashion way) the day before when Riley (2) decided to spit out his juice all over the place. I would have been arrested for what I toyed doing to him! The room that our daughter was in before moving into her own place is now taken up as a storage room for Timothy and Steph (son and d-i-l). The storage unit they have rented is all full!!! They're moving into their own house starting the 19th of this month! The repeat empty nest syndrome lol. It sure will feel odd to have the whole house to ourselves again! Steph (d-i-l) has a bad ear/sinus infection. She went to a walk in clinic yesterday, and was put on meds, including ear drops. Early evening, her ear was bleeding, which is not uncommon with ear infection...but I nevertheless offered to take her to ER, knowing that we'd be there for at least 6 hours...no no no...she didn't want to go. Midnight, as I'm coming out of the washroom to go to bed, she and Timothy are at the kitchen table...seems that now she feels she should take me up on that earlier offer. I said to her, "you realize that we'll be there all night 'till mid morning anyway!" She had gone to the internet, and of course got scared by the comments and suggested diagnoses of her bleeding ear! (sigh....who listens to me!!) So I said...call telehealth (a telephone access here, that helps to give you a heads up about your symptoms). They basically paraphrased my comment to her..."you have been seen, you DO have an ear infection which may bleed, you are on medication for it, you do NOT have cancer nor have you suffered trauma to the head. Call your doctor in the morning if it is still bleeding" Who listens to me!!! So this morning, she called her doctor who will see her at....3pm, and the appointment was later changed to 7pm! Guess the doc doesn't share her concern!! So...life goes on in the Miller household! Sounds SO much like a soap that I should ask you to stay tuned tomorrow...same time same station! How's life at YOUR end??
hugs....linda
