That's great about joining Planet Fitness, Mary--good for you! They say exercise is so important when it comes to diabetes, so you're making a very wise choice. I've been really busy lately, barely have time to participate in TuDiabetes these days, but fortunately my BG numbers have been pretty good overall (knock on wood!) Hope all is well with you and your family--and hope you enjoy the fitness center!
Hi Mary, great to hear from you and happy new year! Things are going pretty well, I feel like I learned a lot about my diabetes the last 6 months, and thankfully I feel like I'm in better control. It still throws me some curve balls, of course, but mostly I feel a lot better than I did in the summer. How are you doing?
Hey Mary, thanks for the message, things actually have improved quite a bit now that I'm on a lower dosage of insulin. How have you been? How was your vacation?
He will only be gone for 3 months but still it seems so long and the days drag. He's going to the sandbox :(
Your son is like that most likely because he's an only child. It will be alright he'll break loose soon we hope...lol! My son isn't good with sharing and he crys when he can't get his way....lol! He's starting to act shy around everyone now. Well I need to get going it feels like I'm getting in the lows I haven't eaten much all day.
I bet you had fun! I need a vacation right about now! My hubby will deploy soon...not looking forward to that. I've been kinda tired lately. My son is draining me...lol!
There is nothing wrong with that. I'm 31 and sill not done having kids I wouldn't mind having one around that age. Kids will keep ya young at heart and yeah maybe a few gray hairs but they keep ya on your toes :) I have a son who turns 5 this month. I'll have to post some pics. They grow up so fast so enjoy them while they are little!
I love the beach ...have fun! I hated the potty thing too but loved the weight that came off...lol! Trust me it will be over soon! Are you a coffee drinker? I sware I was going all the time when I was drinking coffee while taking them meds. I had to stop but now I'm a big time tea drinker.
Hello....how are you doing on the metformin? I know when I first started the medication I was really sick and weak. But with time it got better. So many life changes I think I felt overwhelmed at the time.
Welcome to the community (from a member just as new as you). I've had Type 1 for a long time (my anniversary is this week, 18 years ago). I, too, am a teacher. Best of luck with your treatment. Sounds like you're off to a good start with an A1C of 7. Thanks for the comment.
